Sam Smith has been captivating audiences with their unique high tenor since first appearing as the ebullient vocalist on Disclosure’s 2012 breakout single “Latch.” At only 22, the London-born singer instantly became one of the UK’s greatest pop exports after releasing their first album, In the Lonely Hour (2014), which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart and went on to achieve platinum certification five times over in the U.S. The album also earned Smith four Grammys, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year (for the Darkchild remix of “Stay with Me”), as well as Best New Artist. Smith then co-wrote and performed the opening theme “Writing’s on the Wall” for the 2015 James Bond film Spectre, which earned them an Academy Award. Smith’s 2017 sophomore album The Thrill of It All cemented their place at pop music’s forefront, opening atop the Billboard 200, while 2020’s Love Goes boasted collaborations with genre-leading contemporaries like Calvin Harris, Normani, Burna Boy and Demi Lovato. In 2023, Smith released their fourth full-length, Gloria, featuring the Grammy-winning Kim Petras duet, “Unholy,” which became the singer’s first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 — and the first song by an openly non-binary artist and transgender artist, respectively, to reach the chart’s top spot.

It was a wonderful show, Sam Smith voice was great and an excellent performer. the Stage set up was simple but loved it, loved the back up singers and band. It certainly was above my expectations.
Loved Sam Smith! The stage was different than any other stage I’ve seen. Sam’s relationship with his band was my favourite part! He seems like such a gem of a human being! Would definitely recommend this show, worth the $$$$.

Amazing! I would highly recommend seeing Sam to anyone. He not only performed for nearly two hours himself, but he was so engaged with the crowd. Plus he is of course incredibly talented! I hope I can see him again in the future.
He only sings. No one on the stage is dancing and there isn't much to look at. His voice is amazing and sounds much like his produced songs. Come sing along and eat+drink with a companion. If you don't know his songs this will be a boring show for you

So it was my first Sam Smith show and he literally sounds like how you would hear him singing through digital platforms. He was so warm, cheerful, and a total performer. Amazing. Plus point because I was sitting at the front row, it added more to it as I could see clearly how gorgeous he is up close! It was one of the best nights, and I am just so blessed to witness his live performances. Praying that he will come to Calgary again for his next tour♡

Sam Smith was amazing!!!! So so happy I got a really good seat, it was so worth it!!! Hope he comes back soon!!!! I would definitely pay for VIP again to see and hear him sing live!!! Our package also came with merch items and I actually didn't know, lol. That was my first concert experience and am glad it was him. It was so fun we were just standing the whole time! And the stage... unbelievable!! His team did a wondeful job!! Will never ever forget every moment!
Honestly this was the best concert I've been to, ever! My boyfriend and I had really good seats with a really good and close view of sam smith. The set-up of the stage was one I haven't seen before with previous shows I'd gone to, which I loved. It was quite emotional and passionate and consisted a lot of goose bumps-worthy moments. I might just have to get vip to his next show, and keep getting post-concert withdrawals because it was just way too good I could cry. I love you, Sam Smith, and I cannot wait for your return to Edmonton. You best believe I'll be saving up to meet you and give you a hug and talk to you in person xx
What a great voice! You can tell he loves what he does & does so well. Sam is an emotional singer who is grateful to his fans, Soul music and his band. I adore him even more after seeing him perform live! A genuine talent.
