    Not a Christmas Show!

    by ma2289 on 2023-11-25

This was supposed to be a Christmas show. The first song was O Holy Night, and that was it. Sarah still has a lovely voice but her decision to sing opera songs, in other languages was disappointing to say the least and incredibly boring. The audience was restless and about almost half the people left at intermission, including us!

    Pleasant evening with Sarah Brightman

by Rudy on 2023-11-25Place Bell - Laval

The venue was excellent (Place Bell), with padded seats and ample leg room. The view was great. But the sounds was not loud enough. 1 or 2 large screens would have been appreciated to better see the performer. What was not good was the constant policing by security of people who were taking pictures with their smart phones. I understand copyright issues, but in 2023, it is a fait-accompli that people will take pics of concerts, which they did. The disturbance of the zealous "video police"was more than annoying and took away from a great evening.

    Excellent Concert

by Maverick on 2023-11-24Place Bell - Laval

This is a voice that carries one to the most enjoyable pleasures of sound and execution. Sarah did not disappoint. She started on time and time flew by. Her concert was excellent! We saw her in Laval (Montreal) on her first North American concert. Her voice and range was excellent, as always. Her supporting orchestra and choir rounded out the A+++ performance. Her singer guests were wonderful. Thank you for such a lovely evening. (From Ottawa, Ontario)

    She still got it

by Cameo on 2023-11-24Place Bell - Laval

I gave a 3 because of our overall experience. It was our anniversary gift and we decided to splurge on 3rd row centre, floor seats. But its probably the worst place I ever sat for any concert. Sure you get to see her her up close, but you're missing out on anything else going on on stage like the musicians or the coral. But she was amazing as always, if you're thinking just her and her performance it's a big 5, but overall its a 3 and its the last time I will ever pay so much for floor seats.

    Voice of Heaven

by sillymama on 2013-12-04Saddledome and Roger's Arena - Calgary and Vancouver

Sarah's voice is so unique, beautiful, soft and powerful, crystal clear. Each Sarah Brightman concert is a different creation depending on her theme. This concert's theme is space (the dream she is chasing). She moves around less then in her previous concerts, but her mannerisms, face, body, arms are full of emotion, expression, very theatrical. I see many, many concerts...this is what I wish to spend my money on. Watching Sarah Brightman perform live is a lifetime highlight! She is incomparable to other performers...Sarah has it all...the voice, beauty inside and out, sexy, dramatic. Don't miss this epic performance!

Sarah Brightman Concert Was Also a Visual Treat

    by runner1 on 2013-11-18Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Concert started on time at 7:30 p.m. with no opening act. Sarah Brightman’s voice was as great as ever. An additional treat was the visual show accompanying the concert. There was a massive high definition screen covering the back of her stage showing various images during her performance which enhanced the concert experience. She sang quite a number of her songs from her latest album, Dreamcatcher. She also sang many of her classics. After an hour of performance, there was a 20-minute intermission. There was also an encore at the end.

    Sarah Brightman was amazing

by Luli on 2013-11-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I love Sarah Brightman and I loved her show. The show carries a message and it’s her dream to go into space. Her songs embrace her dream, as they are part of her musical carrier. And this is how the show should be interpreted. The show started in perfect time, no delays which means true respect. It was a delight! Julia B

She donned Beautiful Gowns, And looked lovely , Her stage presence is very powerful, a voice of an Angel in a warriors soul. This was the first time I had heard some of her new album, except Angel And I was impressed beyond expectations! she has some great songs! I would see her again in a heartbeat!

Sound and stage was terrible, fans were worse

by LIfesastitch on 2013-10-29Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Sarah Brightman has a wonderful voice so why cover it with all the distractions: too heavy on the bass, synthetic strings, distracting headache provoking backgrounds, and fans who insist on recording the entire concert on their phones. Those lit screens are annoying. The concert was redeemed by the three classical songs without the "enhancements."

My husband and I were very disappointed with the Sarah Brightman concert. The band was so loud that at times, we could not tell if it was her voice or the band we were hearing, especially the first half of the concert. The second half was better and the male singer was wonderful.

    Always Excellent

by Thomkie on 2013-10-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Sara Brightman is always spectacular. Too much action and bright lights (computer graphics) in the background as I felt it t distracted from her. But her voice was as always amazing.

Her voice is still the best, the show is boring

by Cosshark on 2013-10-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

This was a very first live experience to witness her amazing voice, and she did not disappoint at all, listening to her voice was fantastic. However, the dreamcatcher concert boasts a massive screen at the back of the stage, which displays windows 95 screensaver themes over and over again. The musicians do their best I guess, but for me it felt like there was a random new age sampler album in repeat mode playing in the background. Definitely way too far from mi live orchestra expectation (it was my bad, as I didn't really listen to her new album). There were a couple dancers that showed some effortless, slow-motion moves in between, certainly nothing engaging at all. I have the utmost respect for Sarah Brightman, her voice is still something that you should witness, but if you are not into new age music loops (2 hours of them) I would say wait for a different show.

    Sarah Brightman.....Boring

by ElizaDoo on 2013-10-28Rexall Place - Edmonton

Very disappointed in Sarah Brightman Dreamchaser tour. Flashing hard on the eyes lights. Psychadelic background. too much. Just wanted the music. and more of it from her musical theatre career. IE: Cats, Evita

    Sarah Brightman was too flashy!!!

by CFLMTL on 2013-10-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

While Sarah's voice was everything we hoped it would be, the background images were too flashy and completely detracted from our enjoyment of the singing. I understood the message of space travel was the theme of the concert, but I had to shut my eyes through most of the concert because they were hurting. We were warned about strobe lights as we went in the door, which for many people would have been too late. I'm OK with strobe lights, but I know quite a number of people who are not.

    Dreamcatcher was powerful

by Haigh on 2013-10-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

The entire show from beginning to end is a feast for the ears and eyes - Sarah Brightman's voice is unbelievable in the depths and heights she is able to reach, and the emotion she puts into her performance is touching - the light and screen show were also tremendously exciting
