Come again please, it is always a great show. Sarah always delivers.
Great venue (best show I've seen at the Odeon). Amazing sound. Fantastic audience interaction.
Sarah played a strong collection of her library of songs including little fire ( the new album ). Bahamas also very talented and strong opener ! Someone decided that the venue should be empty of seating so everyone could stand only - big problem (especially for the older folks and pregnant lady). Very bad mix with Sarah's bass player's contribution overpowering many of the songs... Would see Sarah again but not in this way.
Good show, enjoyed more towards the end when it got alittle louder. She has great lyrics, and is a good guitarist, just wished a little more from the band. The guitarist was great when he had the chance. good show though!
Beautiful voice and thoroughly professional musicianship, warm personality. Very engaging!
My 7th time seeing Sarah Harmer live and she never ceases to amaze me! I loved the venue, first time there, great sound, great people! Awesome concert overall! WOooohooooo!
Sarah Harmer was simply amazing. Gorgeous, cute stage personality, really connected with the audience. I would definitely see her again. She performed songs from her new album with all the greats from before. Not once did she falter in her delivery. I've been listening to the cd non-stop and just keep replaying her performance with each song. First time to the Palais Royal - nice place, weird floor where you feel the vibrations of a petite woman pass 20 feet away. Sound quality was good, a moment of feedback but little hiccups are the norm for any place. Staff were good; I saw them motioning no pictures in the line up before going in so I just hoped no flash would suffice. They didn't interrupt the show or make any deal of it. I'd go again, especially if Sarah performs again. She was so cute when she was waving her arms in the air.
Palais Royale was the perfect venue to launch Sarah's O Little Fire album. Before the concert we enjoyed sipping a cool glass of wine outside on the patio. Everyone was so fired up even before the concert. Sarah was very much at home on stage, enjoying interacting with the audience. Her surge of energy and at times reflection lasted throughout the performance. She was in fine voice as well as her backup singers. The band was superb never missing a beat. There was a good mix of the old and new songs. Now that I have the new album it's on the top of my CDs. I wish Sarah and and her band lots of good times and much success on tour. Thank you, Sara for an unforgetable evening at the Palais Royale. Hope to see you soon.
After 4 years, Ms. Harmer's still got it. From the moment you arrived, you felt like you were invited, along with Harmer's family, to a special collection of songs from the heart. With an obvious room filled with Harmer friends and family and die-hard fans - Sarah pleased. Surprisingly - her 6+ new songs felt natural for the audience and she delivered most, if not all, her previous hits
It was an excellent return to the spotlight for Sarah bringing in some old tunes as well as most ofher new stuff on her just released Cd. An appreciative crowd as was sarah to her fans..Encoure was 4 songs..No one could get enough of her.I was 2 feet away the whole concert. She sang her charm..her song lyrics. her connection with her music and to the audience was high energy and soulful and playful it was Sarah at her best.!!!.
The venue was perfect, and Sarah performed an amazing concert as always, returning for an encore of 3 songs and then a further one song to finish off the evening. Her voice was beautiful and she showcased her new album and sang some old favourites as well. Joking with the crowd as she missed a chord and laughing along with the band members, it was a magical night which will not be soon forgotten! Hope to see her again soon.
standing for hours, no seating, waiting for a show well beyond the ticket time, back hurts, have to sit on a floor, first three songs all kinda sound the same, decide to go have fun somewhere else
absolutely amazing. plays a well balanced show with old & new songs.
She was fantastic with a fun, intimate, upbeat and rockin' show!!!
Excellent music, 2 standing ovations, a very satisfied audience! Sarah has great stage prescence and a real connection with the audience. Venue was the Studio at Hamilton Place which was intimate and nightclub-like. Couldn't have asked for a better time!
This was my third time seeing Sarah. I brought my eight year old daughter to her show. It was her very first concert. We would dance to Sarah's music when she was first born and we continue to love and listen to her! What an unbelievable venue. We were two rows from the stage! I wish I had the gumption to stay up two late nights in a row. Otherwise, I would have bought myself another ticket and gone to tonights show! Loved it!
Sarah presented herself in the same fashionable and down to earth way as she is known for. Her "NEW" hat was nice but she looked better when she took it off. The band was great and I was happy and surprised to find out that the bass player was from the same town I am from. Her new album coming out on Tuesday is sure to be a hit as the few songs she sang from it last night where "amazing". My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed to show, Sarah did not disappoint! Keep it up girl.................great choice of venue!
We got there just after the show started and were still seated near the front, which was great. She played some of her older stuff, crowd favourites, as well as stuff from her upcoming album (June 2010). She had a cute stage presence, made a few jokes about people flying/canoeing in, but was amicable with the crowd. Her voice is amazing - she had a back up vocalist and three other band members, but it would have been awesome for her to do a single song just her alone, acoustic on guitar. She definitely has the pipes for it. Overall I would highly recommend seeing her in concert if you know her stuff. The security guard was really mesmerized by her voice... he kept dozing off. lol. She also briefly discussed what is happening with the escarpment/Mount Nemo as she is passionate about it and has spent time and written a song to help the cause, so that was cool. She tried to interject local stuff so it really did feel like a more personal show (plus it was great in the smaller venue, the Studio at Hamilton Place).
Sarah Harmer is an amazing performer, she sounds better live than on her albums! The Studio is a great venue for a performer not trying to hide behind pyro and effects and is definately a venue for someone with the raw talent that Sarah has. Very intimate show, LOVED it would definately go to see her again and again and again! And I loved the fact that she played several songs off her new CD, being released on Tuesday!!
