Saskatchewan Roughriders History
The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional team in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and one of the oldest professional North American sports franchises. Originally competing as the Regina Rugby Club in 1910, the team name settled permanently on the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1946 before joining the nascent CFL in 1958. The Roughriders made the playoffs every year from 1962 to 1976, winning their first Grey Cup in 1966. Overall, the team has made 19 Grey Cup appearances, with four wins including 1989, 2007 and 2013. Across their history, the Saskatchewan Roughriders roster has consisted of 20 Canadian Football Hall of Famers, seven Annis Stukus Trophy winners for the CFL’s top head coach and and four Most Outstanding Players, as well as four recipients of the Most Outstanding Canadian Award, six Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Awards, three John Agro Special Teams Awards and two Most Outstanding Defensive Player Awards. The Roughriders’ rivalry with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers has led to two annual matchups between the traditional Labour Day Weekend game and the now-dubbed Banjo Bowl the following weekend.

Saskatchewan Roughriders at Mosaic Stadium
Rider Nation have been gathering for Saskatchewan Roughriders home games at Mosaic Mosaic Stadium since its opening in 2017. The 33,500-seat venue replaced the Roughriders’ long-standing home at the historic Taylor Field after eight decades. The spectator-friendly setting is complete with sunken-bowl seating and tiled panels that partially cover three sides of the field to protect from the Prairie weather. Fans set a capacity record at 33,506 during a 2019 Saskatchewan Roughriders matchup against rivals the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In 2022, Mosaic Stadium hosted the Grey Cup for the first time, marking the fourth time the championship game was held in the city of Regina.

Awesome! Of course the ass whooping the RIDERS but on the BOMBERS was the best part! Stadium was awesome, fans were awesome, and staff was awesome!
The Riders are back!! We won!! 33000 green fans YEY
The best game i have ever seen Riders play! It was a flawless victory. Win or loose, Riders always give the best and most exciting game for all of us loyal Riders fan! Go Riders Go!!!!!
There were too many drunk fans from Wpg. in our section. I did not like my grand kids exposed to their drunken behaviour... Rolling Stones coming back ?????
Nothing beats a 52-0 Winnipeg Blue Bomber thrashing!!!
Disappointing to see the Riders lose, but still a fun afternoon.
Regardless of the end result of the game Saturday afternoon, it was amazing to be able to see a live football game for our whole family. We enjoyed the energy of the crowd and the amount of devoted fans was breathtaking. We are definitely fans of our new home town CFL team....no doubt about it. And having met players in person makes cheering for them that much more heartwarming.
Awesome seats and my 2 little girls loved their first live Rider's game. Too bad they lost it in the end ; <
The Rider game was so much fun!! It was awesome seeing the players in real life! It was also really cool getting to interact with the fans!!! I would love to go and see another game!! :D
We can not forget about the forth quarter ! I would rather sit at home than have to deal with drunken disorderly fans that are obnoxious fans that do not even watch the game
Disappointing Lose When up by 19 points in less than 9 minutes left and to lose by 1
Great game seats and weather!!awesome new stadium announcement. So glad we went and will order tickets again!
what a great game we could not of asked for anything more...the Riders are playing awesome
There is no bad seat at Mosaic. Atmosphere is unmatchable
Even with seats right at the back we could see everything clear. Would recommend for everyone!
Great seats in the shade...tons of QB sacks...amazing atmosphere!
The game was good - I took my daughter to it and we were behind the railing and she wasn't able to see very well at all. A child ticket should not be sold in that area.
Very defensive low scoring game until the last couple of minutes. The stadium came alive when the Riders got a touchdown and things and it seemed like the teams woke up.
excellent game. one recommendation will be to have another portable Atco trailer for toilets. Not enough clean toilets especially for women behind these new sections. Also one beer token location behind these sections is not enough.
