Shania Twain’s ‘Queen of Me’ concert in Vancouver was outstanding! I've seen Shania perform twice, and if you love her music, you will absolutely enjoy a fun fulfilled night seeing Shania Twain perform live in concert. Shania performed brilliantly with grace and elegance, but most importantly, with humility. Her monologue about her life touched me in ways no artist has minus one, fellow Canadian Bryan Adams. Hint, hint, duet. Shania connects with an audience like few artists can, with her heart. In the two concerts I attended, she did so effortlessly. I have always felt that artists should always take the time to speak to their fans in concert. Let them hear you and speak to them as if amongst the company of friends. There is no substitute for that kind of connection in that moment. For Shania, this comes naturally.
There is no question of Shania’s immense talent, no denying her influence on pop culture, and no argument about her place in music history. All that is left to is discuss is her devotion to her fans. I say without hesitation, it burns as brightly as ever.
On a side note (and this is very important considering her next gig is in Vegas) that the Queen of Me concert production; music set choice and order, sound, lights, timing, art, visuals and selection of bg video, etc., appeared to me a little more fluid, sharper and enhanced. Obviously repeated practice perfects, but these small little improvements were purposefully, and when aggregated together really took the overall experience to another level. Kudos to the crew!
With that said, if I get the chance to make it a hat trick, I’ll see you in Vegas!
