  • SHEENA LOOKS GREAT!

    by Heatstorm1 on 2011-02-08Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

Since 1982, I've seen every concert Sheena has performed in Orillia (Tent days), Toronto, and Niagara Falls. She's my most favourite artist. She's always put on a great show and the audience is so thrilled with her, even to this day. I have to admit though, this past weekend in Orillia, I was just a tad bit disappointed. She came on late, which is expected, but she left early. Her performance was but an hour or a bit long. I've never been to her concert where it ended so early. Sheena looked great though, sounded wonderful, and I was so happy to be allowed to take photos of her while she performed. (No video allowed) It was nice to see her finally out of her white pantsuit and into something very sheek and elegant. Canada loves this woman and she should make more than just a one night appearance. She's also at the age where if she were to enter the audience to perform, she would not get jumped or attacked. This was a nice little touch she performed in Niagara a year or so back. I was a little shocked that the audience in Orillia this past weekend was so subdued. You could tell she tried to get it going, but it just didn't happen. If she could only perform some of her wild stuff from "Fabulous", that would be awesome. Can't wait to see her again.

  • Brought back memories...

by Vernapelletier on 2011-02-07Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 3 out of 5

The show good, not as good as I expected, the downfall was the crowd itself, too many people there that had free tickets from gambling at the casino, they were not in the moment nor did they seem to like the music...so I wonder why attend. Miss Easton and her side kick (*can't remember his name - but I remember his voice, he was awsome) they did well together, he carried the duets to the next level, he was what made the show.

  • Sheena the best!

  • Sheena's still got it!

by DreadPirateJimbo on 2010-10-17Century Casino - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Sheena Easton did a very nice job Friday night, performing many of her hits plus a couple cover tunes. Her voice is still very solid, hitting all the notes, high, and low, with little effort and lots of power. She is a great performer and did a nice job engaging the audience. The set was a bit on the short side, at just over an hour, but this was my only complaint.

  • Sheena can give a great show!

by AvidReader on 2010-10-17Century Casino - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

It was wonderful to hear Sheena sing so well after over 30 years. She reached out to the audience and we all responded enthusiastically, dancing and singing along with her.

Very good show. Some audio feedback once in awhile, but in general a pleasant evening with Sheena. I wish she would have stayed a little longer so I could get a autograph,

  • Sheena Rocks!

by Fartamus on 2009-10-09River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

Although I've seen Sheena perform in the past, this was the best produced of her shows that I've seen, including one in Vegas. She really seemed to enjoy performing, and had a lot of fun with the audience. The hoarseness that she had some problems with a few years ago is completely gone, and her voice was rich and full. My only regret is that she doesn't sing more of her music that reflects her career, rather than just her top hits. The songs by Janis Ian and Bacharach were nice to hear.

  • sheena was personable and still has a strong voice

  • What happened to her hits?

by Dusty1966 on 2009-09-28River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 2 out of 5

I went to the Sheena Easton concert 09/25. She sang very few known hits, or songs that I paid to see her sing. Sheena sang a lot of melodies from other artists. I was dissappointed as she did not sing "when he shines" "you could have been with me" "modern girl" etc. I also found that possilby since she has lost her scottish accent the few known hits she did sing did not even sound like her. Sheena does however, have a cute personality and she spent some time joking and talking with the audience which was nice.

  • Sheena Easton - great performer

by Jayda on 2009-09-27River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

Totally enjoyed the show. As always my thought was tiny person big voice. Although she did not have a lot of songs the time she spent on stage was totally entertaining. Glad I was able to hear her again.

  • Amazing voice

by Hatnatsu on 2009-09-27River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 3 out of 5

Sheena still has an amazing voice, but I could only relate to 2 of her songs - Morning train and For your eyes only, which was her closing song. She sang song after song without taking a break or wardrope change. Her band was very good. Her duet singer also had an amazing voice. She got off the stage and shook hands to every one on the 1st and 2nd row and also teased a few audince. Was a tad disappointed that her fashion sense has been dramatically toned down. Even though she is 50, she could have dressed a little more hip. Overall a good show.

  • Sheena Easton 80's memory lane!!!

by Ronieee on 2009-09-26River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

It was like walking down memory lane! "For your eyes only" and "Telephone" is magnificent and the other medleys as well. I would recommend this to those 80's generation.

  • A Kick-Ass 50!

by gykf on 2009-09-26River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

Sheena was energetic, funny, very personable (going out into the audience for a Meet and Greet), and truly enjoyed herself. As a result, we also thoroughly enjoyed the concert. We've seen her several times in Vegas over the past 10 years or so and she only gets better and better. Turned 50? Yes, but not just 50--a Kick Ass 50, with more sass, pizzazz, and oomph than most women half her age. And can she ever sell a song! She has always been one of our (my husband's and mine) favourite vocalists and we wouldn't miss a chance to see her in concert any time she's around the area. Her band smoked and her duet partner has one of the widest ranges I've ever heard. (I kept looking around for her female back up singer more than once.) Their duets were truly amazing, nearly taking the roof off.

  • Sheena was great for 50

by OLDPL on 2009-09-26River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

For a singer that dropped off the charts for a while she still has very good pipes.

  • Sheena Easton took me back

by Misomo on 2009-09-26River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 3 out of 5

Although she is a hasbin, she knew it, which made her relevant, funny, and an evening to remember with class and dignity, as well as allowing her guests to revist old memories, which was awesome.

  • Sheena Easton is Charming

by supersheenafan on 2009-09-26River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

sheena is still a whole lot of fun. She looks and sounds great. I had forgotten how many hit songs she had and she is adorably self deprecating.

  • Sheena Still Has It

by DWG1959 on 2009-09-26River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 3 out of 5

I was so excited to finally have the opportunity to see Sheena Easton live! As a fan, since Morning Train, I have collected all of her music, first on cassette and then on cd. Sheena has been blessed with a wonderful voice and last night proved she still has it. Hearing "For Your Eyes Only", "U Got The Look", "Morning Train", "We Got Tonight", "Strut", "Sugar Walls", "Lover In Me" brought back many memories. As well, Sheena has a great sense of humour and this was displayed to the audience. Even so, after 1 1/2 hours, I was left wanting more. Where was "Modern Girl", "Do It For Love", "Magic of Love", "Nearness of You", "My Cherie", "So Far, So Good" and others? I understand there have been many hit songs but just to hear them, even in shortened version, would have at least gave me a sense of completeness. Sheena is, and will continue to be a star, but fans do love to hear all of those songs that made her famous!

  • What a Show!

by Paisleygirl on 2009-09-26River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

Sheena Easton pulled out all the stops in her RiverRock performance on Friday night. Her interaction with the audience was amazing and her sense of humour had everyone laughing with her as well as at her. The only complaint was that the set was bit short at just about one hour and twenty minutes. Lots of old hits, lots of laughter...a great night out.

  • Sheena Easton rocks!

by SheenaFan on 2009-09-26River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

Sheena's voice has not changed a bit as she sounds great and can hit all the high notes. She looks fabulous and her band did a super job supporting her. She sang her biggest hits and the audience was very pleased. I don't know why she doesn't record more CDs - the music execs must not be very smart. I love her self-deprecating humor as it's refreshing from all the Hollywood superficiality. Rock on, Sheena! We love you!
