About

Canadian punk rockers Simple Plan are a Vans Warped Tour staple, having played there every summer from 1999 to 2005. In 2011, Simple Plan joined the Warped Tour once again treating ticket buyers to high-energy live concerts anchored by hits like "I'm Just a Kid," "I'll Do Anything," and "Shut Up!" The band's show has been recorded on two separate live albums: "Live in Japan 2002," during their sold out run there, and "MTV Hard Rock Live." Simple Plan returned with their fifth studio album "Get Your Head On!" in 2013, and it includes guest appearances from Mark Hoppus  of Blink 182 and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte.

Simple Plan is composed of childhood friends who got together in the early '90s under the moniker Reset before changing names and releasing their debut, "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls," in 2002. The Canadian rockers have won numerous awards at the MuchMusic Awards, Juno Awards, Teen Choice Awards and NRJ Music Awards. The band is also active in charitable efforts, such as MTV Asia Aid, MADD, RAAADD and Make-A-Wish Foundation, and launched their own non-profit in 2005 that focuses on teen problems like suicide and drug addiction. Simple Plan is a band that has survived nearly fifteen years of recording and touring in an industry not known for longevity. The group continues to do it with fantastic live sets and philanthropy.

Fell in love with Simple Plan all over again! My first time seeing them and all the other bands except for These Kids Wear Crowns. Marianas Trench was wonderful! I have no regrets from this concert! (Well it would have been awesome if I was one of the people who caught Sebastian when he was crowd surfing!)

  • Best concert so far!

by Anonymous on 2012-02-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We've taken our daughters (15 & 13) to a number of concerts, but they both agree by far this was the best Concert so far! I think a lot of bands would be happy to have their audience sing along with a few of their songs. What amazed me, was the number of songs that my daughters and the rest of the audience knew and loudly sang along with.

  • Marianas Trench with guest Simple Plan

by goaliegirlforever on 2012-02-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Marianas Trench should have been the headliner. Simple Plan was good but really the Marianas Trench performance though too short was definitely the highlight of the evening. Can't wait til they come back. Wish the jumbo tron had been used or other screens. Sadly used best available option when ordering tickets and the seats sucked. The place seemed empty so I don't know why I couldn't get better seats.

  • Simple Plan is simply amazing

    by MC21 on 2012-02-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I went to simple plan's concert at ACC last feb 19, 2012 with a mid low expectation and it ended up to be a rockingly jumpy amazing concert. Simple plan knows how to entertain the crown, I never got bored not even for a second. When the concert ended, i am still craving for more. To sum this up, if you have the chance to see Simple Plan, go and buy your ticket now because you'll never regeret the experience. I just hope that simple plan have their another concert at Toronto before the year ends.

  • Simple Plan was AWESOME

by MegHal on 2012-02-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The crowd was also so energetic and although I was in a 300 level seat I still had a really good time. Simple Plan & Marianas Trench were awesome and had great interaction with the crowd. We called for an encore and Simple Plan came on for a good extra hour. The concert ended up being about 4 hours! It was awesome! Marianas Trench had a great entrance as well as Simple Plan did. They didnt just sing songs from their new album either, they sang some of their older stuff which was fun and great! :) Overall really good experience and will DEFINITELY see them again! :)

Despite the fact that I had a seizure and was not feeling good from the point that we got there, the guys still made it an AMAZING night!!!! I can't remember much but the things that I can I will remember forever :D

  • Simple Plan was spectacular

by funmamaoffour on 2012-02-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Simple Plan was absolutely amazing! Entertaining and spot on for vocals. I was a little disappointed with These Kids Wear Crowns and All Time Low because the sound quality was horrible. I heard the drums and bass but no vocals. This doesn't reflect on their skills...it was the sound equipment that was messed up. Even Mariana's Trench was not clear. We couldn't hear anything Josh Ramsey was saying which was really disappointing because we LOVE him!!! And the crowd actually drowned out his singin.....again i think cuz the sound equipment wasn't up to snuff. But as far as entertainment goes.....these bands were all absolutely amazing!!!!!! Highly recommend seeing them.

  • Simple Plan were incredicble!

Great Concert.Lots of Energy amongst the Band Members. Never stopped moving around on stage and kept the audience entranced through all of the set list.Played new songs from Get your heart On and lots of the bands Classics. The opening acts all complimented the show and we all responded well to each band as if they were headlining.Simple Plan a great Canadian Export from Quebec..Can't wait to see them again real soon.

  • Best night of my life!

by cristiiiiina on 2012-02-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Cheers to All Time Low and These Kids Wear Crowns for doing a great opening! They definitely got the crowd excited and ready for Marianas Trench and Simple Plan! It was great to see that two generations -old SP and new SP fans- could enjoy this concert as they sang old songs AND new songs. That night was also the 10y anr anniversary of I'm Just A Kid single andit was also the band's biggest show inTO! Pierre kept saying thank you over and over again (gosh these guys are humble!) For the love and support over the years. The cobcert lasted for around 4 hours I believe and the last song they sang was Perfect. It was an amazing feeling to hear everyone in the crowd sing along to the first verse as Pierre just played the guitar. Ive been an SP fan since I was 10 yrs old so this song and their other old songs will always have a special meaning to me so its no wonder I starred tearing up! LOL to sum it up, it was very well done. I screamed til my voice was hoarse and up til yesterday my throat was still hurting!

  • Simple Plan and Mariana's Trench

by Gouge on 2012-02-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Wicked Show! Canada should be proud. Of you have not bought the new Mariana's Trench album "Ever After" then you are missing out. It is beyond brilliant. Juno's pop album of the year; no question!

  • Amazing to the Extreme!!!!

by smartgrl on 2012-02-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was fantastic!! Each act brought the energy and fun needed to make this show an unforgettable one!! Each act did songs old and new and had every person in the crowd up on their feet, dancing and singing along!! This is something that everyone should have the chance to go see!! I would go see it again in a heartbeat!!!!
