About

Canadian punk rockers Simple Plan are a Vans Warped Tour staple, having played there every summer from 1999 to 2005. In 2011, Simple Plan joined the Warped Tour once again treating ticket buyers to high-energy live concerts anchored by hits like "I'm Just a Kid," "I'll Do Anything," and "Shut Up!" The band's show has been recorded on two separate live albums: "Live in Japan 2002," during their sold out run there, and "MTV Hard Rock Live." Simple Plan returned with their fifth studio album "Get Your Head On!" in 2013, and it includes guest appearances from Mark Hoppus  of Blink 182 and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte.

Simple Plan is composed of childhood friends who got together in the early '90s under the moniker Reset before changing names and releasing their debut, "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls," in 2002. The Canadian rockers have won numerous awards at the MuchMusic Awards, Juno Awards, Teen Choice Awards and NRJ Music Awards. The band is also active in charitable efforts, such as MTV Asia Aid, MADD, RAAADD and Make-A-Wish Foundation, and launched their own non-profit in 2005 that focuses on teen problems like suicide and drug addiction. Simple Plan is a band that has survived nearly fifteen years of recording and touring in an industry not known for longevity. The group continues to do it with fantastic live sets and philanthropy.

    by Tamara09 on 2012-02-26Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The most amazing, energetic lineup imaginable. Been waking for Simple Plan to perform concerts again, and they did not disappoint! Mariana's Trench sang with conviction and passion...as always. And These Kids Wear Crowns and All Time Low were ic openers.

Simple Plan were great in concert but I had doubts leading up to them. The previous 3 groups had terrible sound. I couldn't hear them singing or talking into the mike, too much bass and unclear. I was very disappointed. Very relieved when simple plan took the stage. It was unbelievable how much clearer louder and better the sound was. Great in concert. They put on an amazing show, sound and personality.

Mariana's Trench and Simple Plan were unforgettable....great talent, great energy, great night!! Loved the interaction with your audience near and far...good job to all!! These Kids Wear Crowns were also amazing...great songs!

My son and I went to see this concert, it was his first concert and I'm so happy it was Simple Plan! They sounded great and put on a FANTASTIC show and even the special guests were great. It was an unforgettable show that both my son and I could enjoy together and will always be remembered!!!

  • ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

by TKWCSabrina on 2012-02-22Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This show was absolutely unforgettable! What an experience! I went mainly for These Kids Wear Crowns, who absolutely BLEW ME AWAY as usual, but I was also VERY impressed with the other acts. I have liked Simple Plan since they came out with I'm Just a Kid. Seeing them live for the first time was pretty fricken' amazing! I liked their whole set from the beach balls and confetti canons, all the way to just the dancing. I also liked how much energy they had! Marianas Trench was AMAZING! The show they put on was just fantastic (stage design, lighting, setlist). All Time Low sounded great and had high energy. I could have done without as much swearing. These Kids Wear Crowns were SO GREAT! :) I literally can't say anything bad about TKWC. Maybe I'm being biased because I absolutely adore them but they were just so PERFECT!

  • Simple Plan & Guests

by somz on 2012-02-22Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Fantastic night for my kids as there were four bands on and very quick turnaround time in between! That kept the young ones focused and entertained! We were there to see Marianas Trench really, but all the bands were great!

  • Simple Plan concert to the max. . .

by Myrchu on 2012-02-22Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Simple Plan concert was really amazing. My family enjoyed watching while singing and dancing. They are very wonderful performers. They entertained us to the max.

  • Simple Plan was awesome!!!!!!

by SPfan on 2012-02-22Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I had a lot of fun. Simple Plan sounded great and had high energy. It was cool how they had huge beach balls falling from the ceiling.

  • Officially made a fan for life

by Tyou on 2012-02-22Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was by far the best concert I have ever been to. The energy of the bands, the crowd was amazing. With few props, everyone was focused on the band. I loved that Simple Plan and their opening acts played a combination of their old songs, new songs and song covers. I have become a diehard fan of Simple Plan and all opening acts. They all had at least one band member who actually went into the crowd and interacted with fans. The fact that they did that showed us they really care. The fact that they split the ACC in half and only used half of it made the experience really intimate and amazing. They made their fans feel connected. Next time any of these badns come to Toronto, I'm there!

Ive been to a lot of concerts but this one with simple plan and Mariana's trench tops them all!! They really know not just how to give a concert but they know what it means to really put on a performance that will not soon be forgotten!!! If they come back next year there is no price I wouldnt pay to see them live and have front row seats!! Unreal!!

  • Amazing!!!

    by Babydom2110 on 2012-02-22Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The only part that I didn't care for was All Time Low and These Kids Wear Crowns, they didn't fit in with the other two bands.

  • Overall, great show!

by Kaaay on 2012-02-22Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

These Kids Wear Crowns was fantastic. For an opening bad, the sound and lighting were just as good as the headlining band. In my opinion, TKWC performed better than the two bands that followed. Simple Plan definitely stole the show though, which was absolutely expected.

  • Marianas Trench totally had a better plan!

by julsmom on 2012-02-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Marianas Trench completely stole the spotlight from the headliner, Simple Plan. They were fantastic and the way they ended their set left the crowd wanting more, brilliant! All the bands put on a good show, was impressed with These Kids Wear Crowns, and All Time Low. Simple Plan was good, sounded good, but something lacked.

  • Didn't hear a thing!

by Anonymous on 2012-02-21Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

I was extremely disappointed by the concert only because of the rogers centre. The bands did a great job however, it was extremely unfortunate to pay 80 dollars per ticket to not have any of the upper monitors turned on. These kids wear crowns and all time low could not be heard at all. The vocals and guitar were non existant and even the drums did not sound miced at all. I attended with my boyfriend who attended MetalWorks school for recording engineering and sound production and despite his repeated complaints nothing was done. The rogers centre thoroughly let us down for a concert we waited eagerly for months for. I will no longer recommend it to anyone.
