  • Great atmosphere

by IK on 2025-11-05SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 4 out of 5

Everything went really smoothly and well. Too bad that the place wasn't fully occupied. I don't think that it's honouring the event to have so many empty seats. We enjoyed our seats and thr screens were a great help too.

  • Great skating, amenities not great

by Leanne on 2025-11-04SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 4 out of 5

The actual skating was phenomenal but the Saskatel Centre could use some tips. The event was not sold out but since they hardly any concessions open, there were still huge lineups for everything. When you fly to Saskatoon to see skating, you don't want to miss competitors because you're standing in line. The choice in food was also terrible. Grease, grease or donuts. Your choice!

    - skaters were awesome - needed more leg room in the seating area - would have liked a souvenir booklet or some other souvenir

  • Great Skating, Poor Planning

by Mari on 2024-10-29Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 4 out of 5

The skating was phenomenal, but the venue was lacking a lot of key needs . There was only one vendor open for most of the weekend which meant long lineups and missing out on some of the programs. You either had to leave before an event was over to beat the lineup or compromise and miss the beginning of the next event because you were stuck in the lineup. To say it was very frustrating would be an understatement and very disappointing in Skate Canada for not recognizing the needs of their fans attending the event. I was also very disappointed in the poor turnout. Lack of advertising and word-of-mouth meant the smallest crowd I’ve ever seen for a Skate Canada event in Halifax. I myself is a long time supporter of figure skating only found out about the event a month ago. I do not listen to the radio or read a newspaper. You need to learn the benefits of using other social media avenues. Larger crowds always make for a much better event.

  • World Class Skating!

  • Judges’ Platform issues

by Jules on 2024-10-28Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 4 out of 5

The event was great, but the elevated judges platform was a real problem for anyone sitting behind it. You couldn’t see the skaters when they were near the boards on that side. I ended up buying an extra ticket soon could sit on the other side.
