    Living Legends Kicked Ass!!

by GTRScorpio on 2013-01-27Sound Academy - Toronto

Great concert, great mix of songs (from new to classics), great VIP seats 1 of the best rock n roll bands of our generation. Cornell surpasses the greats by a long shot. Keep the albums coming!

Amazing show! No opening band just 3 hours of Soundgarden rocking our faces off, how a concert should be!

    Soundgarden was amazing!!!

by Truebluefan on 2013-01-27Sound Academy - Toronto

Best show ever!!! I wish I had been able to get tickets for both nights but it sold out too fast! Would totally go to another Soundgarden show. Band sounded great. Small venue setting made it possible to see them up close and personal. Unbelievably amazing night!!!

    Soundgarden

by Bamw on 2013-01-27Sound Academy - Toronto

The sound was awful unfortunately. The vocals were lost in the noise so only the drums made it through the distortion. Loud is fine but muddy was disappointing.

    Soundgarden

Amazing venue, it's intimate and never fails at accommodating their performers. As for Soundgarden, I have seen them perform for years and they do not miss a beat. Awesome musicians, great guys that make up the band. Ben decided to have his own meet and greet after the January 25th show. He took time chatting with fans and also gave out signatures. They are truly legends in their own right.

Not the best sound, but still a great concert

by jasonipod2 on 2013-01-26Sound Academy - Toronto, Ontario

I saw the first of the two shows of Soundgarden at Sound Academy by myself. I got to the venue one hour before the gates open and I was surprised to see that only 10-15 people were already in line. After a coat check and gone to the washroom, I've managed to be at the barricade on the left side, where Kim Thayil is. Soundgarden took the stage at 8:35-8:40 PM. Overall, it was a very good concert. They played a 28 songs, 2 h 30 min set. The crowd actually got more aggressive only about 11 songs in. Despite this, I was able to stay at the same spot throughout the whole show. I even managed to high-five and fist-bump Chris Cornell during two songs. The only down side of the show was that the volume of Chris' vocal wasn't well balanced with the music. He sounded really good, just that the music was a bit louder than Chris singing, but I was still able to hear him throughout the show. Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron were awesome as well. Finally, they also have some great visuals. I definitely would go see them again.

Legendary band in a small venue

by Chappy58 on 2012-11-19The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Great show. I understand they were promoting their new album but I wish it wasn't so heavy on the new material. Some of the new stuff was able to hold it's own against the classics at least. Biggest disappointment is that I could hear come Saturday morning. Sound could definitely have been better. Some songs the instruments overpowered Cornell, which should never happen with his lungs... Overall, great two hour set. Amazing to have the opportunity to see them in such a small venue. Doubt I'll ever get that opportunity again.

    average performance

    by hark65 on 2012-08-02Saddledome - Calgary

I was let down by Soundgarden's performance at the Calgary Saddledome. While Chris Cornell's voice sounded as strong as ever, their was little or no movement from the band. Cornell also couldn't be bothered to talk to the crowd or even introduce the band. The stage show was average at best. It was almost as if they were the backup band. The light show was something you would see from any backup band. The best thing about the concert besides Cornell's vocals, was the final set's volume. The volume went WAY up!

    Soundgarden rocked!

by Trishtrash on 2011-08-11Rogers Areana - Vancouver

Great freakin show! Queens of the Stonage are one of my favorite bands, so seeing them open was wicked. They were great, and seemed to enjoy the fans appreciation. Soundgarden put on an amazing show. Lots of old stuff from Bad Motor Finger, which is their best album, in my opinion. Chris Cornell was on, he didn't shy away from any of the high pitched screams which a lot of other singers usually reserve only for the recording studio. Overall, an amazing show. I would do it again in a second!

    Pretty good show overall

by kerb on 2011-08-05Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

I enjoyed the concert quite a bit. They sounded good, but were a little rusty in some areas. I was pleased with just being there, thinking previously that I would never see this band ever. They played all the songs that I wanted to hear except one-Pretty Noose. I was a little disappointed in the encore because they played four songs I didn't even know to finish off. The openers, Queens of the Stone Age and Meat Puppets both sounded good overall.

    Unreal!

by Anonymous on 2011-08-03Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary

For longtime Soundgarden fans, the wait was over! I've seen Chris Cornell with Audioslave, and solo with a band, and his recent acoustic gig, and finally Soundgarden! That definately topped the cake for me. Amazing! Many of us have been waiting for years for this concert, and I was thrilled to be there.
