Great show, so much energy from beginning to end. Great songs, new and old and very well played. Perfect evening, perfect performance by a perfect band!
The show and the venue itself were awesome. It was great to see The Spoons in such an intimate setting. Would definitely recommend the venue to anyone. However, the prices at the bar were outrageous! $12.50 for a 9 ounce plastic glass of wine? Beer was at least $9.00. $4.00 for a bottle of water. If you're going to go, drink up and eat before going in otherwise you'll pay through the nose.
Good show, sound was ok, the bands played with their hearts. Good crowd
As a forty-something couple who enjoyed the Spoons in the eighties, it was great to finally see them again, albeit a couple new band members. Their sound, energy and enthusiasm were fantastic. We enjoyed all the nostalgic classics and a few new songs performed. The highlight was certainly the updated "2013" version of Nova Heart. If the Spoons are trying to capture a younger audience, they certainly will with this song and the amazing, improvisational talents of their younger synth player! We loved it!
Totally felt like I was part of an 80's music video at this venue watching Images in Vogue (the guy's voice was SO familiar......then I recognized a tune and bam, right back to 10 years old!) and The Spoons!!! Small intimate venue, one of the drummers from Platinum Blonde hosting the show, general admission seating and dancing up at the stage like in the 80's music videos.................GREAT TIME and amazing venue!! The bands both sounded just like they did 30 years ago!
The show was great! The opening band, Images In Vogue was a bit disappointing as their sound was very poor. But the Spoons made up for it! Their energy and stage presence was great!
