    THE FANS WERE OUT

by daybyday on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I didn't mind being high up for the concert except for the fact the where we were seated the giant fans were running for the entire show. Talk about white noise. So when Anthony Daniels was talking we could hardly hear him - when the music was playing it was better - but boy would I not sit in that section (307) again for a concert.... My 2 sons had a great time which made up for my giant annoyance of the fans. And it was very very warm too - even with all those fans running the air was stagnet.

Star Wars in Concert was "out of this world"!

by crocgirl on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Not being a particular fan of Star Wars, I was pleasantly surprised by how powerful the event was. The orchestra was fantastic and combined with the imagery, cool light show, and the absolutely amazing narration by Anthony Daniels, it made for an extremely enjoyable evening. It was neat to see enthusiasts wearing their own costumes, and the real costumes out on display in the lobby were amazing to see. Glad I went!

Starwars in Concert was so great!!

by Betty334 on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This show was so great. I haven't had so much fun in a long time!! The orchestra was amazing; the music was powerfull and I felt completely enveloped by it at times. It was so fun too cause of the subject matter. This was the perfect opportunity to introduce my 9 yr old to orchestra music, what with it being Star Wars. He loved it too. The special effects were excellent, the fire, the lasers, the lights. The commentator-Anthony Daniels was excellent. He has great presence on the stage. I loved the violins especially and the french horns. Very powerfull. Congrats to the conductor of course who must be a genius. Thanks to the whole team for all their hard work on putting together an excellent show and pulling me out of my too comfortable country life and work and into musical heaven. Toronto was amazing too!! So beautiful and The Air Canada Centre was excellent. Very clean and the staff were really friendly. What a great night-sigh.

    Star Wars was o.k.

by Toronto123 on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

My son and I went to the concert last night and he had a great time. My take on the concert was this: 1) There were not a lot of "props" to look at and the best ones were crammed into an area that was hard to get to. 2) The orchastra was fantastic 3) I was left with the impression it was more of a Star Wars cash grab than anything else.

    Awesome!

by ChrisP501 on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Wow, what a great show! From Anthony Daniels' delightful narration, to the stunningly crisp images on the enormous screen, and, of course, the raw power and majesty of a live symphony orchestra and choir, everything about this show was simply amazing. The lighting effects were very cool, but tastefully subdued so as to merely enhance the rest of the show rather than distract from it. The only thing we didn't get to enjoy were the prop and costume exhibits because there was such a crush of people around them, we simply couldn't get close enough. Highly recommended for all Star Wars fans young and old.

    A must see for all

by Anonymous on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This was a highly entertaining well developed show that hit all the marks for both children and adults. The quality of the production was as would be expected from a Lucas related event and was well worth the dollars spent. The venue was excellent for the show portion, but not well structured for the display portion. The lack of coordination allowing for children and parents to view the display booths made it impractical and frustrating at best. However, the show quality in this instance made up for this aspect of the event. Opportunities lost in my opinion was the lack of purchasable items. I came to the event expecting to spend well beyond the ticket price for unique Stare Wars items. I believe that most goers would have liked to pick up more than a program, shirt and light saber pointer. I believe this was both a miss for the producer and participant.

Star Wars in Concert was absolutely brilliant!

by Lea1Skywalker on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I took my 11 yr. old son as an early Christmas Present. I thought that it was going to be okay and wondered how the music would hold his attention? My wondering was quickly answered from the first minute! The story was told in such a way that perfectly married the the 1970's movices to the current ones. How the creators managed to tell the story as I've never seen it was beautiful, the concert focussed on the entire saga but made you see the relationships of the charactors in a new light. My person favorite was the peice that focussed on the deep bond between Luke and Lea. The music was perfection!! Bravo, 100%. At times I had to pinch myself that the music was not coming from the big screen it was real. The backgroud choir was outstanding in their pc. I would go again and would reccomend more advsertising be done. As I raved to colleagues the day after and now they all want to go, but there are no more shows and they didn't know there was even such an event. I believe a DVD would be a great idea of this show. I would buy it!

Star Wars in Concert is Marvellous!!!

by lunar on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I went to the show after watching trailer on the TV. The show is splendid and the execution of music to the scenes is flawless. Everything from the scenes, music to Anthony Daniels' narration is perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed this show. Will watch this show again when it comes to Toronto again.

    Incredible music and show.

by VicT on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The music was so good it seemed it was right form the movie. You forget after a while it's live. I would have liked more shots of the orchestra but it still was amazing with parts of the movie playing in the background.

    Star Wars Blahhh

by Heetmooker on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Having forked out $43.00 a seat in the 300 Section with obstructed views, I was bitterly dissapointent not to get blown away by the show, the overall content an production was good, but the lighting and sound was below par for such a big production, out of my 4 kids only one was happy with the show....for this kind of investment, over $450.00 for the whole famliy I expected alot more...poor show Guys!!

Star Wars in Concert was very cool!

by Anonymous on 2009-11-27Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Overall Star Wars in concert was amazing. Other than the seats we had with obstructed view. The orchestra was excellent. I would recommend that if you are a Star Wars fan, this is a must see. One recommendation with regards to the mueseum, it was very hard to find. There should have been better signage for the mueseum, once you left your seat you didn't know where to go after that. My son was disappointed that we didn't get to the mueseum but had a great time overall.
