  • Stereolab was great, the venue was terrible

    I've seen Stereolab five times including this show. Yes, they were on top of their game, a great mixture of old and new material, but I guess I get nostalgic and miss Mary and her harmonies with Latetia. And although that could be sad, I am incredibly happy that they have continued to perform and give outstanding shows. The venue was terrible. Blocked the side of the stages. Couldn't see the drummer, who is the backbone to the band. Sound was OK, a bit hollow, but the shows I have seen there, the sound has always been questionable.

    Stereolab was incredible, nice memories brought me hearing their songs. Commodore Ballroom is a great venue, and I really enjoyed the previous show: Apollo Ghosts, they are my new favorite band from Vancouver. We had a great time on Saturday.

    I had high expectations for this band since i've been listening to them since late 90's. I never thought i would be able to see this band live. But when i did, is surpassed my expectations a 100 times. Thanks for one outstanding evening Stereolab. I'll never forget this one.

    honestly, it wasn’t so great. they seemed rushed and the sound was no good. bass drum was too loud. i think everyone was just high on nostalgia but i didn’t even stay for the encore because it was just so disappointing.
