  • Peter Hook & the Light - Vancouver BC - Sep 14, 2022

by NikkiM. on 2025-06-09Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was fantastic! Peter Hook still has it, loads of energy & played all the JD songs I love! I could barely walk home after as stood the whole time on the main floor w/2 inch heeled boots. I guess it was worth it but never wearing those boots to a Commodore concert again if I plan on standing the entire time lol.

  • Genuine music, musicianship with an appreciative audience

If all shows were this honest (and without artifice) we'd see a huge influx of music fans returning to concert halls. Ticket prices for so many concerts have become completely unaffordable, with many acts offering less and less actual live performance. That the setlist for this show is at over 40 songs, spanning so many years, it's clear that this band isn't taking the easy route. It's incredible that an ex-member of New Order has this much dedication and cares this much about bringing fans a show that celebrates the music of both his former band and Joy Division. Where other legacy acts deliver less for a more expensive ticket price, Peter Hook, his son and the rest of the band are truly offering us the greatest gift. They were playing their hearts out and doing an excellent job with renditions of so many classic songs. The crowd were very appreciative and the band were looking quite happy with the response. With this Montreal show being the first date of the North American leg of the Get Ready tour, it was awesome to see it go off so well. As for the MTelus... the staff were all calm, courteous and efficient. The wait at the bars, the merch table and the toilets were short and the cleanliness of the venue was remarkable. Thanks for making the experience memorable for all the right reasons.

  • À Hooky show!

by Franky on 2025-05-25MTELUS - MontrealRating: 4 out of 5

Très bon spectacle, belle énergie et plein de bonnes chansons. Un de mes groupes préféré des années 80. Salle remplie mais pas trop coincés. Seul bémol, la qualité du son; on entendait peu Hooky chanter…

  • Brilliant show!

by Tash on 2025-05-25MTELUS - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

Hooky & The Boys played a sensational mix of New Order and Joy Division. The sound was impressive as was the lighting. They are a great band to see especially if you’re a fan of classic JD & NO.

  • Lots of energy and nostalgia for 80s kids

    by Diva721 on 2025-05-25MTELUS - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent evening of Joy Division/New Order classics and newer songs energetically delivered to an adoring crowd. Felt like a seamless return to the 1980s. MTelus sound great as always and cool atmosphere. Even lucky enough to get seats!

  • Absolutely amazing show.

by Dew on 2025-05-25MTELUS - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

When I purchased my tickets the show was advertised as All Ages. The day before the show I noticed on the Mtelus site that it was 18+. I had purchased a ticket for my 16 year old son. Several attempts to contact the promoter and Mtelus were ignored. After contacting Peter Hooks team, they were able to get this corrected.

  • A great show

This was a solid performance. A 2h40 show. Really liked it.
