    2 Great talents

by theinxsguy on 2016-07-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Wasn't much of a Martin Short fan before the show but certainly am now. Steve Martin has always been one of the funniest guys going, that hasn't changed. Steve playing with his band is an added bonus.

    The "Martins" were great!

by klaw on 2016-07-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

It is hard to believe that they are still providing laughs at an age that most would be happy to be sitting there. Martin Short is incredible with his physical humour and Steve Martin has added the banjo to his repertoire. The background of past comedy highlights was excellent and added to the show (initially I was thinking it would take away from the show). The interplay between the comedians was somewhat as expected but still delivered very well and was very entertaining.

An Evening You Will Forget - Huh?

by BarbieR on 2016-07-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Funny the title says we will forget but the reason we went is because we remember. We remember these two both through the past 30+ years entertaining us together and apart, on stage, on screen, and they are very funny men. We are lucky and grateful that they lived in an environment that allowed them to develop their talents and that we were smart enough to recognize genius and supported them through their careers. Thank you for a fun show of memories and new fun. Well worth the time spent

    Good but not great

by GoodTimeCharley on 2016-07-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The best part of this evening was the film clips of Martin and Short at the pinnacle of their careers, which was quite some time ago. However Steve Martin is such a great comedian and multi-talented entertainer that it was delightful to see him in person.

Hilarious show that my whole family enjoyed. The singing was just as enjoyable as the jokes and there were plenty of both,,,,

    Disappointed

by Soprano on 2016-04-17Casino Rama Resort - Rama

The show was quite flat and there was too much bango playing and not enough comedy. The performers didn't look like they were into it

    Great Entertainers = Great Entertainment

Steve Martin and Martin Short were wonderfully entertaining, comedically and musically. As an added bonus, Steep Canyon Rangers were there too. A great time.

by KnottyGirl on 2016-04-13Casino Rama - Rama

It was an amazing evening! Theatrical, musical and comical. Two very talented gentlemen who made an audience of 5000 feel like it was an intimate gathering. I feel so fortunate to have been able to experience it. I'm still thinking and laughing about it days later.

One of the best comedy shows I've ever seen

by mindfx on 2016-04-13Casino Rama - Rama

I bought the tickets for this show based on sentimental memories of the work of both comedians. However, the show was so funny and so current that I quickly displaced sentimentality for belly laughs. Steve Martin had long been my favourite comedian - going back to his early SNL and comedy album days (e.g. Let's Get Small, Comedy is Not Pretty, etc.). Most of my Martin Short memories are for his characters and skits on SNL over a very short period. However, Martin Short was the true star of this show. His skit, "Step Brother to Jesus" was hilarious - I had tears running down my cheeks I laughed so hard. I can't recommend this show strongly enough - if you get a chance, go see it! I just hope they do a video version that we can buy ...for the memories.

    Martin and Short...absolutely entertaining!

by Moomer on 2016-04-12Casino Rama - Rama

I loved this show!!! The dialogue between the two was none stop fun and laughter! Martin Short's comedic routines, especially his prancing back and forth in his nude bodysuit, are images that will stay with me forever. My cheeks still hurt from grinning/ laughing for so long. It was an especial treat to hear Steve Martin playing the banjo. A totally entertaining show!

    Best Saturday night ever!

by SweetandSassy on 2016-04-12Casino Rama - Rama

These two are legends! The best comedy show ever with two guys bantering back and forth paying compliments to one another. I can't believe that Steve Martin is 70 yrs young and plays the banjo astoundingly! And Martin Short who is 67 years young has energy like a 20 year old! His high energy and comical improv on the piano, as a back up dancer/singer and dramatic story teller is gut splitting comedy. My husband and I saw a stand up comedian the week prior and we both agreed that Steve Martin and Martin Short was by far funnier! Worth every penny!

    A Night to Remember

    by review1 on 2016-04-12Casino Rama - Rama

It was a fun filled evening. You just kept laughing and reminiscing. They were introduced by some videos that showed the early works of Martin & Short. Then there was a part where they talked about their early work & some of their time together. Comedy & singing. Martin Short continued by performing solo: singing, dancing & performing comedy which just had you doubled with continuous laughter. Steve Martin is a talented banjo player. He played solo & with his talented group Steep Canyon Rangers. It was a wonderful 2 hours full of laughter & joy. It was an honour to see & hear these two legends. If you have the opportunity to see them, please do so because you will thoroughly enjoy and remember this show.

    Roared with Laughter!

    by Toronto99 on 2016-04-12Casino Rama - Rama

Steve Martin is funny, but Martin Short is absolutely nuts! 2 obviously very good friends fine tuning the art of back-handed compliments and mutual put-downs. Add in some costumes for Martin Short, show-biz stories from both, and even bluegrass tunes. Very enjoyable & entertaining.

    Funny? Not so much.

by BlueforJonny2 on 2015-04-29Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Steve Martin hit it on the head...Hey you ever go to a concert and the guy says we are gonna do another NEW song? NO, we came here to see the stuff that made you famous Steve. Wild and Crazy Guy, King Tut, and Martin? I must say...Nope none of that. Do you guys think that we came to see Bluegrass? (which was good, but Steve Martin and Martin Short performance of BLUEGRASS???) The performance in MY opinion and many others was pretty lame, not REALLY funny, and seemed like two old guys in for a little cash grab before retiring. As was the ending where Steve tells Martin that they had to come back to fulfill the FOX Contract and then they both leave in the middle of the act. Seemed a little too true to me. Really let down by the performance by two otherwise extremely talented individuals. In the words of Rodney Dangerfield: Don't Go! LOL

    Martin Short is UNBELIEVABLE

by HappyCdn on 2015-04-27Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Steve Martin & Martin Short are both professionals and worth seeing individually but together they have fantastic chemistry. Martin Short blew us away. He's a class act, cannot say enough about him. Steve Martin's banjo skills and band are outstanding. The bluegrass sounded crisp, clear and intoxicating at The Fox. Great night, great venue. Olympia Entertainment even sent out a "warning" email regarding traffic delays due to construction and the fact the Tigers had a home game.
