About

Sting is a 17-time Grammy-winning artist and a founding member of the pioneering new wave band The Police. Born in Wallsend, England, Gordon Sumner, a.k.a. Sting, became one of the best-selling artists of all-time as the bassist and frontman of The Police. The band released five studio albums and six Top 10 singles, including the Sting-penned No. 1 hit “Every Breath You Take,” before disbanding in 1986. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, and their 2008 reunion tour was the third highest-grossing tour of the ’00s. Since releasing his 1985 solo debut The Dream of the Blue Turtles, Sting has been recognized with a British CBE and an Emmy, featured at the Kennedy Center Honors and inducted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has also received four Oscar nominations, and his 2014 Broadway musical The Last Ship, which was inspired by his childhood and featured music and lyrics by Sting, was nominated for two Tony Awards. A constant experimenter of genres including jazz, pop, classical and world music, Sting won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album in 2019 with Shaggy for their 2018 collaborative album 44/876.

    Great but a little muffled

by Jenni on 2023-09-08Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Best concert I’ve seen in a while although sitting in the wings made it hard to hear. It would have been better with speakers added for people in the wings on the left

    Amazing atmosphere with Sting

by Canefendy on 2023-09-08Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Sting was amazing as always. The ambiance of hisstage design, instrument and mucisian selection was amazing. Watched the concert from lawn area at the beginning and walked closer to stage to listen to last couple of songs. The volume was a bit low and sound system quality was average in Budweiser Stage but in any situation it always worth to see and listen to Sting.

by Jay on 2023-09-08Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Show was ok played a lot of his hits but starting at 8:45pm and finishing up by 10:17pm too short for the money you are paying thankfully I bought lawns for 60 bucks but if I payed in the hundreds I would be pretty upset

    My 5th Sting concert

by Doherty on 2023-09-08Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Love Sting, I’ve seen him 5 times in the last 25 years. The show was amazing, he sang a great variety, spanning decades of music. Perfect outdoor venue for a warm September night. One girl danced the whole show so would have been better to stand to the side as she obstructed the view for quite a lot of people, but she was enjoying the show too so live and let live.

Excellent experience - just sit down and be quiet

by Purple Haze on 2023-09-08Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The Sting concert was a joy start to finish. I wish it could have gone on all night. He is music's elite for good reason. He's the consummate performer and still at the top of his game. If people sitting around me don't care paying $100+++ for a ticket and then talk through the entire concert, I guess that's OK. But I did too, and I don't want to hear you. You aren't at home. Get your drinks, sit down and watch the concert. Apart from that, logistics were seamless.

    Budweiser Stage sound - Sting

by Shannon on 2023-09-08Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Sting is absolutely incredible. He deserved better and so does his fans the Budweiser stage Soundsystem / speakers were terrible, we were in section 203 and you could talk to people around you without raising your voice to put it in context, there was definitely something wrong with the sound and the speakers. Harmonica was not clear and often voices sound muffled. There was definitely something wrong, and I believe ticketmaster and Budweiser Stage should be refunding tickets to everyone that attended.September 5, 2023 in Toronto. I do not like negative reviews. Overall we loved Stings performance. I was at a concert a few nights earlier at Arctic Monkeys and the sound was amazing.

Sting still puts on an amazing show. His voice is strong and he still has great energy on stage. His band was incredible as usual. He sang songs from The Police and his own albums. The crowd was on its feet singing along for most of the evening.

    The Incredible Sting

by Michael on 2023-09-08Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Sting concert was incredible! His versatility and endurance to play almost 2 hours nonstop going thru a melody of old songs from his time with The Police and becoming a solo artist was inspiring! It felt like days gone by as he played so many of his hits that are too many to mention. For someone 71 years old you would never believe it as he still has a great voice and it was great to see him play with his son. Definitely a 5 star show worth seeing!
