Stomp was even better than last time I saw them!!!

by Funnyface on 2009-11-25TCU Place - Saskatoon

What an incredible event to witness in the city of Saskatoon! I wish I would have had the money for all my kids to see Stomp. They were unavailable as well, so I went on my own. The ability for the company to create music and comedy without saying a single word was phenomenal. I was in the Grand Circle and did not miss a beat in the comedy and enjoyed every other beat as well. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time wishing I was performing with them! The ability to get audience participation in Saskatoon is incredibly difficult and was absolutely no problem whatsoever for Stomp to do. I did not realize that Stomp had a dvd available, but will be going back to the venue tonight to purchase one for my son for christmas. He is at the perfect age to be affected positively to the experience and I will take him the next time they come to town. Way to go Stomp, loved every second and would go again this week if I had another ticket!!:)

    High Energy Entertainment!!

by SlyGuy on 2009-11-25TCU Place - Saskatoon

Who knew so many household objects could be recruited to provide foot-tapping, head-bobbing rhythm? High energy, intricate rhythms and choreographed movements interspersed with comedic antics provided a full hour and a half of enthralling entertainment. The "lead" stomper is a master at engaging the crowd with some basic rhythmic clapping without making them feel too foolish as he advances to more intricate hand-clapping, finger-snapping combinations. Great show!

    STOMP was totally amazing!!!

    by blondie8 on 2009-11-25TCU Place - Saskatoon

STOMP was amazing. The way that they were able to use everyday items to make music was unbelievable. They had such a vivid imagination to be able to use the items that they did and make the music that they made. I took my teenage dauhghter and she ws totally blown away by the performance. Would definitley see them again and would recommend the show to friends.

90 mins of non stop entertainment, better than most of the big name acts we have seen this yr ! Amusing interludes and audience participation kept you interested from start to finish. Great night out.

A one of a kind performance

by weeble on 2009-08-17Orpheum Theatre - New York

A very good performance in a very small theater. The performers were very talented but somehow didn't feel like they were very connected on stage. There is a lot of dust/chalk used so I would recommend sitting farther back if you have any allergies or asthma. In New York, at the Orpheum theater, there are handicapped seats but it IS NOT wheelchair accessible. The first obstacle is 5 vertical steps with loose brass handrails. The staff were very patient and helpful, but if you are absolutely unable to do those steps, you wouldn't see the show. I would prefer to see the show in a bit larger venue.

    Stomp was awesome!

by KarenB on 2009-07-15Orpheum Theatre - New York

Went to see this off-broadway musical with my daughter and two grandsons, ages 12 and 13, and we all found it truly amazing and entertaining, especially the 12-year-old who is into drumming. The theatre is small and so everyone could appreciate what was going on, though we did have seats very close to the stage. My grandsons especially enjoyed the humorous aspects of the show. The area that the theatre is in is rather trendy, with lots of little outdoor cafes and places to eat. Unfortunately, the concierge at our hotel didn't seem to know this so we ate before we went there. We could have eaten for a lot less had we waited, and enjoyed the ambience of the area.
