Drove 3 hours there and back to see Stompin' Tom........well worth it! Even the warm-up band was really good. Tim Hus was really funny, great voice/guitar, and cool even though there were a couple hicklers in the crowd wanting Stompin' Tom. Billy McInnis was a great fiddler - really enjoyed him singing and playing the Maple Sugar Sweetheart (?) song. Took my husband for his bday present...he's the stompin' Tom fan, but after that performance he has added another fan. Most entertaining all round!! Amazing what he can do at 75!!! Makes me wonder what he was like to see at 35?? Nice to see that there are Canadian musicians out there that are more interested in promoting national pride and identity than in promoting themselves by taking off to the big market in the US! BRAVO!!
The only drawback I felt was that intermission was awfully long, around 35 minutes, while they sold various concert paraphenalia.
