    Vinyl Cafe/ plus

by Bissinger on 2010-11-30The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Stuart McLean was his usual humorous and inspiring self , esp. in the first half. I loved his physical movements and sheer Joy he presented. I could have done without the 'rapid ""7 stories in 11 minutes" , but the rest made up for it. the musical guests were worth the price of admision . to see the great musical guests Jackie Richardson ((unexpected) and the phenominal Matt Anderson just highlited a great evening.

not as good as last year

by wendolyn on 2010-11-30The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

i was disappointed that the show was not as good as last year. I did not like the exercise of whipping through as many stories as possible. I love stuart mcclean's stories and savour every part, to rush thru a summary of the crowd favorites was not a good idea. the music was excellent and the 2 stories stuart did tell were really good.

Stewart McLean show a new holiday favorite

by WestCoastFan on 2010-11-30The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

The Stewart McLean show that came to The Centre in Vancouver on November 28th was a perfect way to kick off the holiday season. His musical guests were amazingly talented. Stewart's show prior to intermission was very entertaining. The second half felt a bit rushed with the 7 stories in 11 minutes. It's disappointing to hear some of your favorites cut short. Overall though, a wonderful evening.

by Simony on 2010-11-30The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

I've never seen any of his shows and wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was a thoroughly entertaining evening of storytelling and music. No gimmicks, just pure talent. Mr. McLean is a great storyteller. His stories are heartwarming and amusing. The musical talent is top notch. I will definitely go back next year.

    A Big Fan

by Hughman on 2010-11-30The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Stuart never disappoints. This has become our Christmas Season Kick Off tradition. We always enjoy the musical artists he brings and this year was the same. We even left with one of Matt's CDs. This show will be enjoyed by the entire family from 7 years to 94 years! Stuart's stories warm the heart. They make you laugh but also sends the right message. Stuart is a big part of our Canadiana and reminds us what really is important in life, which is our relationships...family.

Amazing show with incredible talent. Stuart McLean made me feel like I was sitting in his living room listening to stories. Matt Andersen is a total super star (plus he's from New Brunswick). I just wish parents would leave their toddlers at home who can't fully enjoy the show and interrupt it for the rest of us.

    Excellent music. Good stories. Natural.

by Manana on 2010-11-30The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Suart McLean is always a good story teller. He is also very comfortable on the stage talking. This comes through in his inter-action with the kids. I am looking to find his story about Eddie Wong's father's restaurant in smalltown BC. Where the chair legs are incrementally cut off. I heard him tell that sory on the radio once. Never heard it again. Can't find it in his books. Please tell me where to go to find this story.

He's amazing! So very funny and personable. Dave and Morley never sounded so good. Loved watching him as he's very animated while he talks. If you every want to get out of a funk and have a good laugh see him or listen to him on the radio!
