Santana was all that I had expected! It was great to see him live & in person. Lots of energy, good musicians playing with him & the lead singers were great also!
This was my second time and the show was excellent and I can't wait to go again!
Supernatural Santana,was unforgettable!! We went to las vegas for this concert and we were not let down!! He is an amazing artist !!!!!!!!
Wonderful setting, amazing seats, a great opportunity to see an icon! A tad too loud though! Thoroughly loved the concert! Excellent musicians who obviously have a passion for their craft.
I have never been a Santana fan, but after this show I'm fully converted. This guy plays, his band is tight, and they have a lotta of fun. Santana made it seem so effortless. No windmills, no jumping around like a pogo stick, no flying hair, just incredible guitar playing. Youve gotta see this guy!!!! Incredible.
It was the Gospel according to Carlos still one of the best artist I have ever seen live and it was my 7th time seeing him over the years the music was amazing the venue is perfect (the Joint only seats about 3500) and his fellow musicians were of the highest caliber for a while I felt like a part of the his culture and could feel the peace love and happiness in the room.
I have followed Carlos Santana through all the twists and turns of his career. Those twists threw some people off the bus, but like many others I stayed with him and now to see him earning new fans is a joy to experience. Four of us boomers attended the concert, sitting in the first row of the balcony. The sights and sounds from those seats were great. Carlos played hits for just under 2.5 hours. My only regret is that there was not enough time (or demand?) for any tunes from Welcome or Borboletta - that band would have done a great job of Promise of a Fisherman!
The show was amazing! Loved every minute... the energy was high from start to finish; great musicians; all my favourite songs. You could feel the music pulsing throughout your body. We had great seats, seven rows from the front... and I did have trouble hearing well 'til the next morning but no regrets. I would go again in a heartbeat!
Fantastic..... SuperNatural ........... A great show at a great venue. All the old hits, along with his newer stuff...... well worth the trip. He really hasn't slowed down at all since we first saw him in 1974. Just the same fine, clean, crisp sound.
The overall show was fantastic! The band was excellent, the singers suburb and Carlos Santana was unbelievable. I grew up in the 60's and 70's. Never saw him live but I saw him on TV and his other recorded performances like Woodstock. Loved him then so my expectations were high. He and the band surpassed all of our expectations by a long way!! It was well worth the trip from Canada to see him.
I have been listening to Santana for many years but was never able to hear him and the band in person. It was beyond my expectations. The concert was uplifting both musically and spiritually. You were always aware of the rhythm and the beat. Percussion was mind blowing and to watch Carlos play will be something I will always remember. I felt the rhythm in my soul and that is where music should be felt. He is a true musical genius and I would definitely place him in the "great" music category. Already have my tickets for his summer show in Toronto. Looking forward to it.
Everyone in the whole band was so, so talented. They preformed for over 2 hrs and my husband could not stop talking about them even far into the next day. It was, without a doublt, the highlight, of our short holiday to Las Vegas and we did a lot of other wonderful things while we were there. At the concert, our seats were really good and the whole theatre was a great place for a concert like this. We had a great time and "Thank You" Santana and Las Vegas.
This concert began with only Carlos playing lead guitar with the curtains only partially opened. From the first note, his world class technique, tone and stage presence quickly moved the audience to realize there were in the presence of a guitar legend and a musical genius. His PRS Paul Reid Smith Guitar also proved throughout the night to be one of the best guitars in the world. The band was made up of eleven other outstanding musicians and singers and the sound produced moved the audience to its feet throughout the night. It was definitely a musical tour of Santana hits from Woodstock to present day. Carlos continues to be a treasure and may all have the opportunity to enjoy this great artist for many years to come!
Santanna played for over 2 hours without a break. He had everyone in the audience on their feet.
what a classic - Carlos know show to put on a show. We were wanting to dance on the first song. they all ROCKed the night for us.... ps - THE JOINT - Hard Rock Hotel (the venue) was awesome as well. Reasonable prices on drinks as well.
The concert was great. The sound was clear, the band was excellent, the venue was good, just the seating al little crowded. The percussionists were fantastic, Carlos did not disappoint his fans. Two solid hours of tunes and they were all hits.
AMAZING! Absolutely amazing. This was the first time experiencing Carlos Santana live and the show was far better than I imagined it would be. Carlos makes the guitars he plays seem as mere extensions of his own hands. When he plays it is absolutely spellbinding. He also makes sure to highlight every member of the band and they are all extremely talented. The Joint as a venue was terrific and made the music sound as clear, crisp and in your face as it possibly could have. I only hope I get to see Carlos and his band again soon before Carlos decides to retire which I hope is not for a very long time. Highly recommend this show, worth every penny.
Carlos and his band were in fabulous form and enthralled us for over 2 hours with a mixture of his greatest hits along with some newer material. The crowd was on it's feet swaying to some of the best rock of our era. An added bonus was George Lopez who was enjoying the show seated just behind us! The man is a genius, a true musical and spiritual legend.
The sounds of Carlos Santana are unmistakable and timeless. I was lucky enough to see his concert at The Joint - Hard Rock Hotel, Las Vegas on Nov. 20, 2009. He still is a phenomenal artist and musician. His band is impressive and works their butts off the entire show which lasted 2 solid hours. My only disappointment was in the audience which sat on their behinds for most of the show. Who sits during a concert? People, you needed to get up and boogie!! The audience was all ages (20's to 60's) which shows the enduring popularity of this man and his softly wailing guitar. Muchas gracias Carlos.
Hard to beat the performance and truly hard to beat the venue!
