What a great beginning to their first tour in 5 years. I was impressed throughout the entire show. The vocals where amazing and the stage performance was a bast to watch. The crowd was wild. Unfortunately there was no encore.

they came out and rock the house for the first 20 songs this was one of the great shows for a the year

A question always creeps in your mind when you are the first stop at the beginning of their North American tour, especially when the players as a group have not played together in 5 years....How is this going to sound? Well, that question was answered this past tuesday in Edmonton, Alberta when System of a Down graced the hallowed halls of Rexall Place with their unique brand of hard rock. Once they got the first few songs under their belts, you could see and hear a change begin to occur. They began to get tighter, crisper, there was less missed notes, choruses came together with shared vocals and at that point all was ok in the world of SOAD. 14,000 frenzied fans filed in and were treated to a great stripped down helping of their favorite bands. This being an amazing accomplisment as they haven't released anything together as a group since their combined effort of Mezmerize/Hypnotize in late '05 and early '06. Thank you SOAD for picking Edmonton as your start point of your tour.

Amazing. Anyone who has a chance to go see them should. You wont regret it!

Third time seeing them and they blew my mind!!! System banged out wicked song after song! I would go again if they were here for two days!!!

Shavo Odadjian was amazing.... great sound, great music, great set list! Couldn't have asked for better :) Rexall place still sucks as a venue though.

Goggol Bordello was very high energy and entertaining. System played 27 songs and was on top of there game.

Incredible energy and talent. They delivered beyond what I had hoped. Absolutely killer band! I would go see them again in a heartbeat. No encore, so make sure you pay attention to when they play their last song.

The show was great!!! I loved it and I wouldn't have asked for anything more. The crowd was stellar and the mosh pit was brutal! :D I would've liked to see an encore but even without it I was ecstatic.

wow! these guys were awesome, I heard from some firends that they put on a good show, but I was captivated the entire time.... well in between the head banging of my favorite songs lol..... would see them again anytime!!!!

This was my second System of a Down show and everytime I have seen them they exceed my expecations!!! What an awesome night!!

Awesome live show, the energy is something that you could only know by going.

ITs pretty sad when your first concert experience is a crappy one. Never has my husband seen so much smoke at Rexal and yet there was nothing that they could do about it? Well Global Trouble Shooter will be hearing about it. Cuz it seems that Rexal doesnt have any control of people who abuse the rules and that makes it miserable for people with asthma such as me. We had to leave 3 songs into SOAD's performance because it was so bad. Other than that it was great to see SOAD :)

The opening band Gogol Bordello was Awsome! But their set was way to short! System put on a fantastic show and played for almost 2 hours! My only complaint is there was too much of there mellower stuff and not enough old heavy songs. But overall I was very impressed

Nothing new from System of a Down but a great show overall, playing all the hits and some of the more obscure stuff throughout all of their albums. Don't expect anything flashy, just four guys who seem really enthusiastic to be back. Also, be sure to check out Gogol Bordello, they are a great band with a huge amount of energy. They deserved a bigger crowd.

Fantastic show. System played for 2 hours straight. All of the classic's and favorite's. They didn't play some of the songs I was hoping for but they can't play them all I guess. They didn't talk to the crowd much. But those are small things. They played like they never went on hiatus. Serg and darren's vocals were awesome. Drumming top notch, and the bassist was energetic as always. Go see them. It might be your last chance.

This is the third time I have seen them and they keep getting better and better. It's like they never took a break
