About

SZA has been a game-changer in R&B ever since she became the first female artist to sign to the independent hip-hop label Top Dawg Entertainment, joining the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and ScHoolboy Q. The New Jersey-raised Grammy-winning artist  self-released two EPs before partnering with TDE in 2013 to distribute her breakthrough EP Z, which charted on the Billboard 200 and featured the certified-gold single “Child’s Play” with Chance the Rapper. While preparing her highly-anticipated debut album Ctrl, SZA co-wrote songs like the Nicki Minaj-Beyoncé collaborative single “Feeling Myself” as well as “Consideration” from Rihanna’s 2016 album Anti. Ctrl arrived in 2017, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 behind Top 40 singles like “Love Galore” and “The Weekend” and earning five Grammy nominations. SZA would win her first Grammy as a featured artist on Doja Cat’s 2021 single “Kiss Me More,” and gained further mainstream notoriety following collaborations with Maroon 5, Cardi B and Summer Walker. Her second album SOS debuted at No. 1 in late 2022 and topped the Billboard 200 for 10 non-consecutive weeks. In 2023, SZA earned her first two Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers with SOS’ “Kill Bill” and the Drake collaboration “Slime You Out.”

  • SZA WAS PERFECT!!

    by Kaybaby5 on 2017-08-26REBEL - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Her singing was effortless as always as well as smino and ravyn! She sang songs she made before the CTRL album and even asked us what we wanted to hear! They were all so down to earth and even the DJ finess_fest had the crowd hype! This was thee best concert I've ever been to!

  • SZA was amazing

by Yougoegga on 2017-08-26REBEL - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I love SZA so really enjoyed this concert. Her vocals were so amazing and it was a great experience. My only complaint is I thought she left thr stage a little early and she missed a few of my favourite songs. Still great though!!!

  • My Skin is Clear now

by TENOUTOFTEN on 2017-08-26REBEL - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I was told that rebel venue is horrible and the stage is uncomfortably high. I totally disagree the venue and sound was set up wonderfully and the bus ride there and back was stupid easy and nice. The stage is higher yes but I think that's actually a plus because if it was any lower I wouldn't have been able to see through all the fros that were in the crowd. RapSeason and TDE did an amazing job organizing and keeping the entry process calm and safe. Literally can't wait for the next concert I have there Two people fainted during the show, and the sercurtiy guards did a great job acting as fast as they possibly could to get them out of the crowd into a safe place to get some water. SZA HER SELF WAS GREAT. This is my second time seeing her life. The last time was two years ago and wowowow she's such a happy little bean. Loved the way she flowed into her songs and her bodak yellow was pretty bomb.

Complete mess with the meet and greet times, security was beyond rude and half of them didn't know what was going on with the VIP tickets
