About

SZA has been a game-changer in R&B ever since she became the first female artist to sign to the independent hip-hop label Top Dawg Entertainment, joining the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and ScHoolboy Q. The New Jersey-raised Grammy-winning artist  self-released two EPs before partnering with TDE in 2013 to distribute her breakthrough EP Z, which charted on the Billboard 200 and featured the certified-gold single “Child’s Play” with Chance the Rapper. While preparing her highly-anticipated debut album Ctrl, SZA co-wrote songs like the Nicki Minaj-Beyoncé collaborative single “Feeling Myself” as well as “Consideration” from Rihanna’s 2016 album Anti. Ctrl arrived in 2017, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 behind Top 40 singles like “Love Galore” and “The Weekend” and earning five Grammy nominations. SZA would win her first Grammy as a featured artist on Doja Cat’s 2021 single “Kiss Me More,” and gained further mainstream notoriety following collaborations with Maroon 5, Cardi B and Summer Walker. Her second album SOS debuted at No. 1 in late 2022 and topped the Billboard 200 for 10 non-consecutive weeks. In 2023, SZA earned her first two Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers with SOS’ “Kill Bill” and the Drake collaboration “Slime You Out.”

  • Awesome

by Lovely on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Sza waa absolutely amazing! She daces beautifully she interacted with the fans and I just had a blast. The people there are beyond amazing as well. The only reason I rated 4 instead of 5 is because Scotiabank workers failed to organize the event at the beginning. There were multiple lines and no one understood what was going on!

  • One of the best concerts ever!

by Zey on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

this was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to! The stage, the song list, the performance..everything was done so amazingly. It’ll be an experience I will never forget!<3 The only thing that was stressful was the merch lineup, it felt like it was easier & faster to get inside the venue than buying merch. The line was so long that I had to leave it as SZA was coming on stage but that has nothing to do with SZA ofc, it’s Scotiabank’s mess & unpreparedness.

  • Everything you could have asked for

by Bearbear on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

So all in all the performance was amazing. just a little things were that I wish there were more Merch stands, so that others have the opportunity to buy what they wanted. but based off where I was sitting. On the sides of the stage the screens were a little bit blocked by the light structure, but if they were raised a little bit more, or the screen was lowered by a little bit then it would’ve been totally fine. i’ve been waiting for this concert for four months and by far she is an amazing performer and I would see her 10,000 times more.

  • Amazing show, poor organization on scotia bank arena

by Natasha on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

SZA’s performance was AMAZING, the set list, her energy, her vocals, the choreo, visuals, everything about the performance exceeded my expectations. However Scotia bank arena had extremely poor organization. Last minute email to say gates opening at 8pm. We arrived at 7:25, to a lineup wrapping around union station. There were multiple lines/crowds, with no direction from Scotia bank staff. The tickets were all gate access, which means ppl were joking any lineup they saw. Once the gates opened, the lines turned to crowds of people, with no form, for us to be told it wasn’t the right line, join another. We didn’t get in until 8:40 (an hour and thirty minutes of waiting). Only For us to find out the opening act already performed to a virtually empty arena (plenty video footage of this on social media). Exits were also poorly managed as there exits were set up for people to leave in a single file which took another 40 minutes to get out. Overall SZA and her team: amazing 5 stars, Scotia Bank Arena: negative stars

  • Great Show

by Christa on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Goodness SZA was amazing and Omar Apollo was amazing too! I loved the visuals, the stage and all the transitions, and Miss Sza MURKED her choreography.

  • Great show but very disorganized entry

    by KC&NAT on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The SZA show was 5 stars, but the venue experience left a bad impression - so taking away one star. The lines to get into the venue were horrendously long. Usually doors open at 7pm and shows begin at around 9pm which gives time for people to get in, find their seats, get snacks, get merch, and then watch the show. This experience was not that. There was a lineup at every door - I guess people were expecting doors to open at 7pm like they are used to - but for this show, they only opened at 8pm. This was not enough time for all those people to get into the venue/through security, and have enough time to buy snacks and merch. We stood in an extremely long line to purchase merch and then finally it became clear we were going to miss some of the show. We had to transfer tickets through the app so that only one person was standing in line for merch and they would be the only one missing part of the show while others could go grab their seat. This was not a great experience at all. Please ensure that you have at least 2 hours between doors opening and the start of the show. I know other people who missed part of the show because the merch lines were so incredibly long. It's unacceptable to spend hundreds of dollars on tickets and then have to miss part of the show because of lack of proper organization on the venue's behalf. Getting the merch was important for my kid and her friend so I made sure they didn't miss any of the show.

  • SZA killed it!

by Concertguy on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Such a fun night! SZA is an amazing performer. Her stage and visuals were next level. The doors opened late and they still managed to get Omar to open and SZA to do her full set. She played past 11 and didn’t cut it short even with the condensed time.

  • INCREDIBLE but line-ups were OOF

by anniepoo on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

SZA was amazing the entire concert was so cinematic and beautiful. Even though my seats were in section 300’s was still incredible. BUT the line ups for scotiabank was really messed up, missed the whole opening act (Omar Apollo) who I was REALLY looking forward to seeing. Other than that, 10/10

  • Disappointed Fan

by Jazz on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

SZA herself put on an amazing show and it was probably the best visually pleasing concert I’ve been to. However my issues are due to the venue, firstly they delayed the doors opening time without informing that the set times are staying the same, and there was no crowd control so the lines to get in were super long outside the whole venue making most of us miss the opening act. & Secondly, because of her visuals and aesthetics it was best to view this concert front facing, however I was sitting on the complete side of the stage and did not get that great of a view of the show. I expected a lot more from Scotiabank Arena. And unfortunately, these issues did affect my concert experience as a whole.

  • Absolutely Incredible ❤️

    by <3 on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I had the time of my life at this concert. SZA was amazing! Literally not one moment where I wasn’t entirely captivated by her. If she ever chooses to tour again I really do hope she comes back to Toronto with more dates ❤️

  • SZA was amazing, waiting was not

by Jojo on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

It wasn’t clearly communicated to us that the doors weren’t going to open until 8pm. Standing in line was a mess and we weren’t able to move. But Sza and Omar Apollo were absolutely fantastic, I just wish Scotiabank Arena staff handled the gate situation better.

  • Amazing Experience

    by K.B. on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I went to this concert by myself & I genuinely had an amazing time! Omar Apollo did a fantastic job opening for SZA and getting the crowd hyped up. SZA is ethereal. Her vocals were flawless and smooth, the stage design & setup was executed perfectly. She used every ounce of the stage & her choreography was great! This will probably be a once in a lifetime experience for me & I'm so glad I bought the tickets and attended!!

  • SZA OMGGG

  • literally visited heaven

by Hayley on 2023-02-28Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

best concert I have been to in my entire life. She did not take a breath. She literally played so many of her hits and her voice is so amazing in person it was like seeing a real life angel singing from the heavens. If I were to be trapped in the same day over and over and over again I would pick this one just so I could stand on the streets of Toronto in the freezing cold and stand in her merch line for over an hour for a chance to hear her again live. Best floor tickets I could have ever purchased in a million years.

  • AMAZING
