  • A well felt performance in an intimate venue

by JM on 2024-12-06Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Got invited to attend this concert. Although not fully familiar with all of TALK titles, I did not know what to expect. I had a very memorable evening with this up and rising Canadian artist. TALK is dynamic, close to his public and has a powerful and heartfelt voice. Very good musically, with a good balance between instrument level and voice level, considering that the Commodore Ballroom does not have all the ultramodern bells and whistles. However the venue is tailor-made for TALK, it enables eye contact and the audience was varied and attentive. Really enjoyed the concert, where the focus was on the songs and their meaning, not on the fancy special effects.

TALK’s vocal and stage performance were spectacular. The set list was excellent and the entire night was truly one to remember. Everyone on stage gave an incredible performance and we were grateful to see the show!

  • Epic Show!

by Cloë on 2024-12-04Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This man’s voice is incredible, high energy and amazing performance. My only complaint was the opener… felt like a small town open mic night, killed the vibe of the night but the headliner saved the energy of the room playing Bohemian Rhapsody before coming on, brilliant move.

  • Great venue & great showmanship

by Bella on 2024-12-04Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

I came on Sunday to the gig in Vancouver and thought it was great. The venue was fab. His voice is amazing and the band had a great energy. Minor points were : Quite a few covers played I felt uncomfortable when the main guy would lick the guitarist’s face or grab at his guitarist/fondle his ass in a jokey way. I get that they’re mates but there was something… off about it. I don’t know how to explain it. I just kind of cringed every time, maybe I don’t like someone being objectified/sexualised to that extent by someone who appears in a position of power.

Really enjoyed Talk. From his amazing voice and charming personality, to his rapport with the audience and his unique additions to his concert, this guy thoroughly entertains. Shout out to his band also; what amazing guitar playing! 1st time to London Music Hall and was amazed with this fabulous venue also.

  • Good times but...

The concert was great, the venue and the sight lines leave alot to be desired, the ticket check seems so... Extra if I can use that term, first you stand in line with your electronic ticket on your phone, then you must show your ID, get a stamp on your wrist and then move to another line opposite to where you just were, and wait in that line up. Why? As for the sight lines inside the venue it could be better especially if you were sitting in the far left section where you may have had a good view of the stage only to have, in my case 3 people stand right in front of you with one of them watching the advertisements on the TV screen (?!?). I appreciate the fact that smaller acts play in Saskatoon but the venue needs to be updated so that everyone can see what they paid for vs the one clown watching tv.

  • Intimate Performance

To experience a TALK concert, you need to abandon all preconceived ideas about the artist. Not only is TALK an inclusive, immersive and interactive artist with their audience, but gives you an insane amount of energy every single time.
