    Loud?? It wasn't just Loud!!

    by Bonfire49 on 2013-12-17Casino Rama - Orillia

First I have to say the show itself was good and fun but I've read a lot of comments about how great it was because it was so loud. It wasn't loud it was sicking distortion through most of it, Good God I guess the sound men are deaf because it was really disgusting, I love loud (my own home system is 4,400 total watts (4-15" subs 4-15" mid bass) but it's gotta be clear and that show was so dirty I couldn't believe it. I've saw him twice before back in the late 70's early 80's and yes loud but decent clarity at both the Canadian World Festival (Toronto) and out in Vancouver were great shows. p.s. Go see Sabbath if you can, 5 star T.O. show, and going to Hamilton in April it was that good!!

$25.00- Guess ya get what ya pay for!!!

by hima on 2012-07-02DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

REO Speedwagon was great. They played most of their hits. Styx sounded great but did not play for very long, they left out alot of their good songs. They should have opened since they didn't play that long. Ted Nugent is an extremely talented guitarist and musician but that is it! I went to hear his music (Stranglehold in particular) and NOT his rants about the government!!! Even if you don't agree or like who is in office, there should be some respect given. Ted was very self indulgent, self centred and ignorant! He was telling his audience that WE should THANK "Uncle Tedley" for giving us his music and putting Michigan/Detroit on the map by being the best guitarist ever! I will NEVER go see Nugent again even if it was free!

    nuge rocks!

by mumford on 2011-08-22Casino Rama - Orillia

Great show. Ted hasn't changed a bit. Still rockin' at 63. Always has fun things to say. (what kinda music is this?!?) Song selection was really cool. Great to see Derek St. Holmes singing the songs he should be singing. Haven't seen a ton of shows at Rama but I have seen a few and this was the first time I saw people on the floor standing all night. If he makes the trip again, I will pay to see him in a heartbeat.

Motor City Mayhem Mangles My Mind!!

    by 1rockroll on 2011-08-16Casino Rama - Orillia

Loud, raunchy and with an incredible song selection,The Nuge & Co.tore through a blistering set that was as good as I've ever seen.It was great to see Derek St. Holmes on stage once again,as we all know that he is the perfect voice for the band.It was a non-stop barrage from beginning to end.The band was tight and Ted was in fine form, both in his axemanship and his rapid-fire rabble-rousing.

    Uncle Ted is Ageless

by jimyjames on 2011-08-16Casino Rama - Orillia

Sound was amazing the best I have heard at Rama. About 10 % of the people left after song one they obviously were not fans or did not expect the volume. The first part of the concert was good and then they played Fred Bear and good became great . The remainder of the concert was incredible in sound and video and performance. the band is soooo tight they knocked it out of the park. Ted Nugent may be the most under rated guitar player in rock history....he is 63 and has not lost a step incredible.

Not at all like a Celine Dion concert!

by TorontoPFFan on 2011-08-15Casino Rama - Orillia

And thank god! Ted kicked ass from the get go! He was his usual outspoken self, and the concert included many comments on hunting, fishing, the war on terror. And SPIRIT! It's too bad he did not play Hibernation, Baby Please Don't Go, or Motor City Madhouse! One of the Loudest concerts I have attended! Long live Ted!

    Ted, White and Blue!!

by nanook on 2011-08-15Casino Rama - Orillia

OMG!!,,OMG!! Ted set the mood early and never let it go. Show was loud, active and full of adventure. He acted and re-acted with the audience. They loved it. I gazed around and people were mezmerized as Ted spit out obscenities, played the guitar and sang. It was pure rock 'n roll at its rockin' best. Goooo Ted. I was in the first row and stood at the stage for the whole event. Pure adrenolin. If u havent seen Ted, u must put it on your bucket list. An amazing entertainer. Said he was 63 and he just loved to do rock 'n roll for June, July, August. Then go home and kill things. He is a huge patriot and mentioned it many times. I just LOVED it.

    Awesome Performance

by StarfireNO on 2011-08-15Casino Rama - Orillia

Better than I expected. Hard driving, pedal to the metal, non stop performance. Good showman and entertainer. A must see for any lovers of guitar solos and long riffs.
