About

THE BABYS IN CONCERT:

Beloved British rock outfit The Babys ended a three-decade hiatus in 2013 with a reunion tour and album that proved they remain as vibrant as ever. Since then they've continued to impress on the road, treating fans to career-spanning sets of the rollicking rock romps and power pop nuggets that first launched them to fame back in the '70s. Original guitarist Wally Stocker and drummer Tony Brock remain consummate showmen, tearing through classics like "Back on My Feet Again" and "I See You There" with a youthful energy that makes good on their milk-fed moniker. Whether they're playing their breakout hit "If You've Got the Time" or performing cuts off of 2014's I'll Have Some of That, The Babys always give ticket buyers epic performances that blend classic rock nostalgia with a modern-day pop edge.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Babys formed in London in 1974 and originally considered their name a temporary joke aimed at the youth market-obsessed British recording industry. The novelty of the name appealed to fans, however, and in 1977 The Babys released their self-titled debut album to a spot on the US pop charts. They followed up that same year with their sophomore album Broken Heart, which cracked the US Top 40 thanks to the hits "Isn't It Time" and "Silver Dreams". A successful string of albums followed in the late '70s, spawning moderate hits like "Every Time I Think of You" and "Back on My Feet Again", but by 1981 the band was disillusioned with touring and called it quits. Not all was lost, however -- in 2013 original lead guitarist Wally Stocker and drummer Tony Brock reformed the band with several new members, thrilling fans with The Babys first tour and album in more than three decades. The band's reunion album I'll Have Some of That marked a triumphant return to form, impressing critics and setting big expectations for their upcoming performances.
