Barr brothers have unique sound
by gordie100 on 2012-07-03Métropolis - MontrealSaw the Barr brothers at the metropolis in Montreal during the jazz festival. A unique sound to say the least. Though entertaining, I found some songs to be monotonous that seemed to go on forever. Most songs were quite good with a good horns and drums sequences. Their Pink Floyd cover was out of this world. The opening act was a gent from Australia, who in my opinion was the worst performer i have seen anywhere doing anything. The crowd liked him anyway, although i thought i might jump to my death from the balcony to escape the misery. The metropolis theater was a great venue with plenty of room, great bar locations and an unobstructed view from any seat. For $33 per ticket , it was a good value.
