Kinda slow, and for a slow band, why have 45 seconds of nothing between every song?

Super gracious. Fantastic performance. New and old songs.

  • Great Band - Awful Sound

by zepfan on 2018-04-21Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The Breeders were excellent but it was by a truly awful sound mix. The vocals were very muddy and no attempt was made to clean it up. Really liked the band and would go see them again, if I knew the sound mix would be better

  • Great Band - Awful Sound

Good to see The Breeders live. The band put on a good show but the sound mix ruined the evening. The vocals were complete mud where I stood 3/4 the way back on the dance floor. No excuse for poor sound these days. Machine Head had excellent sound but this was a very poor mix. Pity as I really liked a lot of the tunes.

It was like being back in the early 90s It was well worth the trip and the band rocked Good times The only problem is when you leave for a smoke they won't let you back in Warning Don't leave It was all good Thanks again

  • The Breeders - Last Splash 20th Anniversary

by 2Dstyle on 2013-05-14The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Breeders (in their 1993-1994 incarnation) were incredible! They performed the entire Last Splash album in sequence and it sounded as good and as timeless as ever. It was a real treat to hear those songs being performed live 20 years later by the people who performed it on the record. The band was in great spirits and interacted well with each other and the crowd. The good people of Toronto showed The Breeders lots of love and respect during the show. A fantastic concert experience! The Danforth Music Hall is a great, small venue and if you have a chance to see a show there, it is highly recommended.

This is my 3rd time seeing the Breeders in concert. Great show, the band sounded good. The only annoying thing was some short snooki looking girl at the front cat calling through the entire show. "I love you Kelly!" "I love you Josephine" etc... That really put a damper on the show.

  • who could be as cool as kim & kelley deal?

    by mojave3 on 2009-08-17Lee's Palace - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Breeders concert on Saturday, August 15 at Lee's Palace was fantastic. When the band came out on stage, you knew you were in the coolest place in Toronto and so lucky to be there. Kim, Kelley and the band put on an excellent set of music from their entire discography. I had a huge smile on my face for the entire set! Highlights of course included lots of songs from "Last Splash" and "Pod" but there were some excellent songs from "Title Tk" and "Mountain Battles". Super cool merch as well and at $15 per T-shirt I was able to get one selfishly for myself and one for my sis's birthday which is coming up on Sat Aug 22. She is a huge fan and unfortunately coudn't attend. I feel very blessed to have attended this show and not only would see them again right away but would also recommend this band to anyone out there listening. You missed a great set if you weren't there and if they come back DON'T MISS THEM!!!
