The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

A group of six attended this concert in Edmonton and we were extremely disappointed with the set list. A band that’s been around this long and that has a long list of hits should have played more than just 8 during their set.
Loved the old songs but too much political content in the middle was a bummer
Been a fan of this band since their Not Ready to Make Nice Song. Glad to see them back with new music. Greatly enjoyed the show as they covered a lot of songs from the new album as well as the hits from previous albums. Also enjoyed the opening act Maren Morris. Just wish she would have performed her song "The Middle". Highly recommend this show for anyone who is a fan.
I have been to all their concerts and they never disappoint!! Great job Chicks!!!!
Chicks did not disappoint. The only thing that did was the line up for the ladies washroom :(
They brought great energy to start but BUZZKILLED it when they started with all the politics. I understand they are vocal about their beliefs but it went on for probably half the concert ( I almost left but since I won’t watch them again i decided to wait for good-bye earl.)
This was one of the best concerts i have ever been to and i have seen lots of shows in my 47 years!! My daughter and i listened to the Dixie Chicks back in early 2000 and it was such a great night for us both for a daddy daughter date!!!
I’ve seen The Chicks every time they’ve come to Edmonton. I love when the crowd sings along! Great show! Great sound! Great night!
Chicks rock it out with a simple set but they don’t need all the extras they’re amazing just the 3 of them!!! Plus the band.
The Chicks were absolutely amazing. I would recommend them to everyone
Normally when I hear country music playing, I reach for the nearest sharp object to gouge my eardrums out. So when I purchased these tickets as a present for my wife's birthday I was, shall we say, less than enthusiastic about attending the concert. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I did enjoy myself. The Chicks are incredible musicians and performers. I even recognized around 5 songs during their two-plus-hour performance, which came as a shock to me. That "Earl"is gonna make it big someday. The highlight of the night was the drunk lady near me who was having what I can only describe as a standing grand mal seizure...but didn't spill a drop of beer. Drunk lady, I salute you.
90% of the show was a bunch of political ranting and posturing, the rest was their new music which is fine but they didn’t even play their popular older songs or the song that made them popular (there’s your trouble). Stop ranting and do what we paid for, sing.
The Chicks did not disappoint! They are still bringing the music after all of these years! Lots of energy, great music, and the instrumental performances were amazing! My only real criticism was that the sound seemed to be off to start the show ( and all through the opening acts set), the instruments seemed to be drowning out the vocals, but it did get better as the show went on. This was my forth time seeing these ladies perform, and I would definitely go again!
I have to say I enjoyed this concert everything about it the opening act Maren Morris performing a fantastic opening set the fans just enjoying the energy was great and The Chicks performing some of their most famous songs and being their authentic selves performed phenomenal 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The drinks and food are way too expensive ans the people working there shouldn't have to tip out the establishment for the drinks. Also the show was okay wasn't the best for the price of the tickets we paid.
The Chicks never disappoint. Great concert! Rogers Place is an awesome venue. Will be back again
Downer of a show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many more! to get to 50
The Chicks put on an amazing concert. From start to finish!
They went above and beyond. Normally everyone wants an encore at the end, but they played so long and so great that everyone just clapped and we were all really pleased with this performance.
