About

The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

  • Deafening

by Marlee on 2022-06-29Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

The acvoustics were deafening. All I could hear was bashing instruments. Halfway through the concert i discovered if i plugged my ears i could hear the words Natalie Mains was singing.

  • Hands down the best concert I've been in the last 5 years!

by BergeronMe on 2022-06-29Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The mix of later hits and the new stuff was on point. The talent this group has is exceptional. The banjo, violin, guitar playing trio brought me on an emotional roller-coaster with their personal stories and political views. I would attend this 10 times over.

  • Terrible

    by k. z. on 2022-06-29Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

We could not hear anything. We could not see anything. We were a group of 17 and very disappointed in the sound system. I will not go back to the Budweiser stadium and if anyone asks I will tell them not to waste their money unless they want to sit on a hill, pay $20 for a beer and make their own fun. Very disappointing!

  • Amazing

by Steph on 2022-06-29Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was great, the mic for the singers when they spoke was very low so it was hard to hear them clearly when they talked between songs. They definitely had the crowd engaged as most were on there feet the whole time.

  • Best show ever

by Lizzie on 2022-06-29Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Chicks were amazing from opening to closing (Goodbye Earl!). Great audience with everyone singing along. Hugely talented with a roster of songs to choose from. Wonderful night outside.

  • Unreal. Great way to spend a Saturday night

I think I have listened to March March like 100 times since then. Love the CHICKS! 🤍🖤💛

  • No opener, no parking

by Chris on 2022-06-29Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

No opening band, instead retro video music of a different genre No parking at event, had to get refund after driving around as they let us in lot anyway Liquor prices were astronomical Sound quality was poor Couldn’t hear the lead sing or talk

  • As good as ever - THE BEST

by Anna on 2022-06-29Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible concert, the chicks never disappoint with their energy, humor, incredible music and breathtaking voices. Very well organized, on time, great venue.

  • Not the best!

by JP on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Not the best concert we’ve ever been to. Unfortunately on the lawns we could hardly hear them, which usually isn’t the case with lawn tickets. I’m not sure if the sound system was too low, or if they were just quiet. Still had fun, but disappointed knowing we didn’t really hear much of their music.

  • Amazing night

by DJ on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Getting in went smoothly finding our seat and event staff was super helpful

  • Fun

by Gedlasso on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Chicks once again mixed their political message with music you just have to sing along with. Midway through the show a stage adjustment had the ensemble sit across the front of the stage creating an intimacy typically not felt in larger venues. They provided their Canadian fans with a concert that will not be emulated by another band.

  • Meh. Not amazing

by Julia on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

I'm not going to lie to you, I wasn't a big fan. Think this was one of the worst concerts I've been to. I was expecting it to be fun and upbeat but they played a lot of slow songs and honestly they didn't play any of the old songs, they played on new songs. People go to their concerts for the old tunes but they didn't give me that. I was disappointed to be honest.

  • Good time but needs improvement

by Maddie on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Packed lawn and seats, was a good time. My only issues was the sound level. You could hear the music but you couldn’t really hearing the singing and could not here then talking in between sets at all. With that amount of people the sound should have been WAY up.

  • Best show I’ve been to

by Edie on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Took my mom to this show as a birthday gift. She loves Patti and the Chicks and we’re been dining their songs together since I was 5. Hearing these songs performed so well and true to their original sound was incredible. It was exactly as a concert should be. Great singing, excellent entertainment, incredible memories! I will definitely go see them again when they’re back.

  • The Chicks and Patty Griffin

by TJR on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Loved everything about this one. Patty Griffin is an exceptional talent who more people should check out. She was fantastic. The Chicks never disappoint and this show was no exception. Great, great, great double bill. Five stars for both.

  • The Chicks

by hwb on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What a performance! The Chicks were wonderful! The staff was helpful and overall, easy check in comfortable seats. The sound was a little muffled at times with acoustics but overall great show.

  • The Chicks were amazing, the venue needs some improvement

by Wheelchair user on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was amazing. I would like to know who though that the accessible seats in the 400 where a good idea. These are horrible seats. There is no way anyone who has to remain seated for a concert would enjoy the concert. Why are the accessible seats in the 300s on a platform but the ones in the 400 aren’t?? Shame on you Budweiser Stage, shame!!

  • Great concert

by CRD on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

  • Awesome

I have seen the chicks a few times over the years. They did not disappoint! They were awesome and so talented! Every song makes you feel empowered as you sing along. I was there with my 20 yr old daughter who grew up listening to the chicks! We had a great time and i will cherish our mother - daughter memory.

  • Best Ever!

by Molly on 2022-06-28Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concerts ive ever been to. I surprised my mom with tickets for mothers day. But just lawn seats which we were both happy about. But while we were sittin on the lawn before fhe show, we got asked if we wanted to move into seats. The seats were 10 rows from the stage!! Most incredible opportunity and a night with my mom I will never forget. Staff seating us were extremely friendly and even folded down our seats for us after walking us directly to them. Thabk you for one of the best nights in my 36 years!! Cant eait to be back for more shows
