About
The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

Third time not a charm
by indiglo548 on 2016-10-04SaskTel Centre (Formerly Credit Union Centre) - SaskatoonRating: 2 out of 5Didn't enjoy this show much at all. Third time seeing them and they didn't seemto enthusiastic. Won't be going to see them anymore
Dixie Chicks - Saskatchewan style!!!!
by Anonymous on 2016-10-04SaskTel Centre (Formerly Credit Union Centre) - SaskatoonRating: 4 out of 5The Dixie Chicks put on an awesome concert. The graphics they used on their back drop was very impressive! Having Elle King open for them was classic! We really enjoyed the entire concert! It went by way too fast!!!!
Dixie Chicks not what I expected
by Anonymous on 2016-10-04SaskTel Centre (Formerly Credit Union Centre) - SaskatoonRating: 2 out of 5Overpriced for an underwhelming show. $126 was far too much to pay for nose-bleed seats with a show where they barely interacted with the crowd at all. It seemed pretty forced.

the band is so loud you can't here the vocals, ridicules
DCX WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED IT TO BE AND MORE!
by boomz on 2016-09-29Huntington Center - ToledoRating: 5 out of 5This was my third time seeing the Dixie Chicks and it was amazing. The best one yet. The small venue in Toledo was worth driving from Windsor for. (canada) My only regret was not spending more to get better seats. NEXT TIME FRONT ROW! I am very happy with the 2 t-shirts and tote bag I purchased. Dixie Chicks rocked the house and their talent wow's me every time. Was a night to remember. Favourite moment was the lyrics being shown on screen as they were sung. I am a Sign Language Interpreter and it is a dream of mine to one day Interpret a Dixie Chicks show.
Dixie Chicks were awesome!
by hueybv on 2016-07-14Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5The Dixie Chicks put on a wonderful show in Vancouver that was thoroughly enjoyed by our family. Their musical ability as well as the performance by their backup band was outstanding and their voices are still so pure.
Awesome
by Wand on 2016-07-12Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5I was skeptical to go to yet another concert, pay high prices, only to not enjoy myself. The Dixie Chicks outplayed the house! We enjoyed ourselves and I danced most of it! The talent was out of this world, clothing classy, stage presentation awesome. I was envious of the people sitting at the front. I also believe there was some over serving of alcohol, which led to the constant disruption of us who really wanted to see every moment of the Dixie chicks on stage. DIXIE CHICKS YOU ROCK!
Id love to see Dixie Chicks again!
by KangaasMum on 2016-07-12Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5Great show! They are such talented & passionate band! Cant wait to see them again!!
The Dixie Chicks were good, however...
by ABD12345 on 2016-07-11Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5The concert was good, the acoustic section they did was great but overall the sound was horrible. I go to many concerts of all genre at Rogers Arena, but the sound at this concert was terrible. I would think that they didn't do a sound check. All the acts had the same issue. The sound levels on the instruments was so loud that you could hear them singing. I literally left the venue not able to hear.
Dixie Chicks are fantastic!
by CP867 on 2016-07-11Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5I am a long time fan of the Dixie Chicks and this tour does not disappoint. Natalie's voice and Emily & Marty are right on point! Would be happy to go again!
everyone should see these guys
by exstatic on 2016-07-11Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5This was the best concert I have ever seen. The girls played their hearts out, The atmosphere was amazing, and I don't think there was a single person that didn't dance and sing all night. They were on stage for about 2 hrs playing hit after hit not like most bands 1/2 hr of songs you have never heard of off of their new album e.g Alan Jackson. I would see them again in a heartbeat, and will if they ever come back no matter what the price.

Dixie's were awesome! Like the old days!
by DKGoofy on 2016-07-11Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I was up dancing and singing the whole time!! We love their music. Martie and Emily are so talented!! Just loved them. And Natalie really puts her emotions out there. Loved the show, so glad I went. When we first got there we were like "wow it's an older crowd" then realized we were the older crowd (mid thirties early 40's) haha!!
The Dixie Chicks were really terrific
by madfortheatre on 2016-07-10Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5I really enjoyed the show. Loved hearing all the old songs. The images displayed behind the Dixie Chicks on the big screen were great. Great singing. Loved the violin and bango playing.
DCX Vancouver Rocked
by Anonymous on 2016-07-10Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5This was simply the best concert I have been to hands down. Yes, the forgettable yet overly loud opening acts sucked, however the main event DCX were pure enjoyment and magic.
DCX in Vancouver - a little muffled
by CandL on 2016-07-10Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5Concert was good, but the sound guys let the band and the audience down - the bass was overwhelming whenever the drummer was playing. The best sound of the concert was the semi acoustic portion where it was just the Dixie Chicks playing. The performances really were good - high energy, voices strong but the sound wasn't keeping up. On at least 2 occasions the mike seems to have cut out at the start of Natalie's vocals - very disappointing. The venue was also pretty hot - we have been to lots of concerts there over the years and this was the only time we remember the air getting too warm. Arena owners cutting back on the AC to save some money? Third time seeing the Dixie Chicks and they always put on a good show - hopefully they clean up the sound for future performances.
Dixie Chicks were unforgettable
by Delaney123 on 2016-07-10Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5With out a doubt was the best concert I have ever seen!!!!!
DCX World Tour MMXVI
by ACWR on 2016-07-10Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5It was great to see the Girls on stage again, kicking some ass! Awesome concert! Great setlist.
blasted out
by silversummer on 2016-07-10Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5I have been a Dixie Chicks fan for some time, but I wouldn't recommend this tour unless you are 90% deaf already. The band was so outrageously loud you couldn't make out the words of even the most well-known of the Chicks' songs. The beat was so loud that when I took a break and went to the toilet, there were ripples in the toilet - that whole cement building was reverberating.
