About

The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

The girls put in a great show! I was blown away by their performances. It's hard to believe, but Natalie's voice sounds just as good as it always has! They covered all the hits over all the albumns. I couldn't be happier!

This was the 4th time I have seen the Dixie Chicks live and it never gets old! Love how they kept it simple and played non-stop. The instruments make the show, always something to sing along to, encore songs made the whole night!

So glad that I was able to make this event with my daughters and friend. It was a spectacular night, these women are so talented. The entire arena sang every song with them, and the tribute to their children was very touching. Love, love, love the Dixie Chicks. Hope that I have an opportunity to see them again soon.

  • Dixie Chicks are the best .

What dedication to their music. Their classics performed in chronological order is just what fans wanted, and they delivered. Can't wait to see them again.

This was the forth time I had seen the Dixie Chicks in Wpg and it was the worst show ever!! Actually the worst concert I Have ever been to! VIP seat at 295.00.....boy am I a sucker!! The sound was horrible!!! The Dixie Chicks need to stay apart! The opening act was even worse! He sang about pot, talked about pot, and I think he was on pot. His music was BAD!! The Winnipeg Free Press gave this concert 4 out of 5 stars, that was too kind! Sorry Dixie Chicks but it SUCKED!!!

  • Long Time Gone - Dixie Chicks so talented.

It had been a time since I have seen the Dixie Chicks and it was so worth it. Went to both Oshawa and Hamilton - did not want to miss a thing. Played their songs in chronological order and it worked to move through the history since they came on the scene.

  • Crazy for Dixie Chicks..Worth waiting 10 years for

by DixieChickFanatic on 2013-11-13Copps - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Dixie Chicks rocked Copps on Saturday.. No fancy stage, no fancy video screens.. just chicks straight to the point with there instruments playing and singing. Natalie Maines hilarious as always. She doesn't care what people think and that's what we love about her and that incredible voice she has! Absolutely amazing!

  • DXC were outstanding!

Show was amazing.....such talent! Sucks though that I bought a concert T-shirt and there is a misprint on it :-(. Says they played in Calgary, BC. Awesome show though!

From the first song to the last, everyone was standing and singing along. I had forgotten how much I loved "Goodbye Earl"! The show was 2 hours and it was just a beautiful trip down memory lane.

by LaCroyd on 2013-11-12Copps Coliseum - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

I was very impressed with the Dixie Chicks...they sound exactly as they do on their CDs' I love Natalie's voice, her energy and attitude just electrifies the stage...especially during Sin Wagon and I'm not ready to make nice...at one point in that song I had tears...these woman should be nothing but admired for their talent, and their ability to multi task...9 kids in total...wow. Great show I would reccommend seeing this concert you won't be disappointed.
