In my top 5 shows ever - a must see!

by GroovyUke on 2022-10-24MTELUS - Montreal

Fair warning, this is an intense experience, but it's meant to make you smile! Full disclosure, I am not a big fan of the band's recorded music. I mean it's OK, but nothing that resonated with me. But the show is another beast entirely. Even without knowing the songs, it's quite the show. Lighting, inflatables, storytelling, and amazing musicianship. A must see!

    Truly an amazing evening

    by Luke D. on 2022-10-24MTELUS - Montreal

The Flaming lips delivered! Great sound and amazing energy. They did not have the opportunity to have an opening act, so they had to boost the crowd and work it into a frenzy. The lead singer brought the crowd along a journey into positive, happy and optimistic collective place of well being. Also, the lasers, confetti cannons and giant blow up robots we're mind blowing. Thank you Flaming lips for a truly memorable and unique experience.

    An out of body experience

by MK on 2022-10-24MTELUS - Montreal

This was one of the most amazing shows I have ever seen! So intense, but so easy to fall into. I was in a complete trance for two hours, 100% invested in the music. Wayne Coyne is an excellent performer, with a great message. You will leave this concert feeling a little bit better about the world. If you ever have the opportunity to see the lips, do not pass it up!

    Funnest uplift

by Bliss on 2022-10-24MTELUS - Montreal

The show surprised me. Was an excellent performance with greatest inflatables, but the spirit of hope was so Massive. I left feeling full of love and possibilities:)

This is the concert I would bring on an isolated island

by NB on 2022-10-24MTELUS - Montreal

The Flaming Lips are probably the best art rock act, definitely a must see. Their shows are partys that make you want to live again! I would go back the next day. It's not for everybody as there is non-stop psychedelic video but if you are into this, this show is for you. We appreciate so so much that there is NO opening band, thank you! Only drawbacks: it's a bit too long...and M Telus should focus on making the music sound great rather than loud but this is not the bands fault.

    Dazzling and Moving Performance

by RockinAlP on 2018-06-27Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

The Flaming Lips deliver once again an immersive and heartfelt performance. Their frontman is a master at connecting and revving up an audience to a frenzy. And what can one say about their visual team. This is as good as it gets. The live show is in the same league as legendary live artists like Alice Cooper and Pink Floyd with some moving moments, some hilarious moments and always lots of surprises.

One of the best concerts I've ever attended

by BuAndDa on 2017-03-17 Rebel (Formerly known as Sound Academy) - Toronto

Special effects were amazing. Light show was worth the price of admission on its own! The front of the stage was covered with a curtain of long strings of lights, effectively turning the stage into a 2-dimensional surface, rendering the musicians invisible. The 'stage' basically became the 3-D space of the GA crowd, the 3 walls of the facility, and the 'wall' of lights represented by the front of the stage. No better way to include and engage the audience; we were truly part of the show, not merely watching stuff happening on the stage. We WERE the stage! Wayne is a true innovator. If you've never seen the Lips, ya gotta do it the next time they're through!

The Lips at Malkin were stellar

by Anonymous on 2010-10-09Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

I must say to start that this venue is perfect for almost any band. Lucky enough not to get rain and the Wayne was on fire. One huge party with plenty of balloons streamers and a constantly onslaught of the silly sounds of this great band. All the members genuinely seemed to be having a great time. Played a lot of new material that impressed me a lot. I would tell anyone of any age to go see these guys. I have now seen them twice and will go again.

    Flaming Lips - Beautiful Madness!

by Tanko on 2010-10-07Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

This is the 4th time I've seen the Flaming Lips and they are without fail an incredible sonic and visual experience every time. Not to mention a raw and joyous psychedelic trip. It was a treat to hear a very different set list this time around, mostly from their new record Embryonic, which I must say is as fantastic live as it is confounding on record. Wayne's spirit and attitude is uplifting, entertaining and inspiring. See this band any chance you get!

The Flaming Lips take the win!

by TeeDee on 2010-10-02Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton

This was by far one of the best shows I have ever seen (and I've seen 150+ live acts). Wayne knows how to please the audience, and he has a great time doing it. I don't think I've ever seen a band more appreciative of their fans than these guys right here. If they ever come near again, I will, without hesitation, attend!

Always a joy to see The Flaming Lips in concert!!!

by greenxnose on 2010-09-29Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

Its hard to explain it, but when two amazing bands get together and play a show together like this outside "on the only dry night in vancouver," things just happen. Ariel Pink played a great set. I personally came to see them, and they sound way fuller then on the album. Then the Flaming Lips came on and hit it hard. They were way rock 'n' roll and pretty psychedelic. Stage presence was awesome and Wayne was really interacting with the crowd. There was lots and lots of confetti too.

Flaming Heart for good looking lips

by Babyo on 2010-09-28Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

Unforgettable fun for the Flaming Lips Fantastic Show. The special effects were phenomenal, and the interactions with the audience were superb. Nevermind the Ariel Pink portion, lets have balloons, and confetti and fun, fun, fun.
