About

When The Fray first burst onto the scene in the early aughts, the Colorado-bred band introduced the world to a profoundly life-affirming form of alt-rock: timeless but inventive, arena-sized in scope but firmly rooted in raw emotion. Over the coming years, their soul-searching songwriting and high-powered sound led to earning four Grammy Award nominations, scoring a multitude of Billboard top 10 hits, and amassing a passionately devoted worldwide fanbase. Their single "How To Save A Life" spent a staggering 58 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the "unofficial theme song" for Grey's Anatomy. Rolling Stone praised their "stick-in-your-head hooks and eloquent narratives," while the LA Times called their music "melodically rich." The Fray's debut album How To Save A Life (2005) is certified double-platinum in the US and has been declared one of the best-selling digital debuts of all time.

  • The Fray was amazing

    by FutureLady2040 on 2014-07-15TD Echo Beach - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was by far one of the most memorable concerts I've ever attended. Molson Amphitheatre/Echo Beach is such a great venue!! I had such an incredible time rocking out to The Fray live. I hope they come back soon!

  • The Fray/ Barcelona and Oh Honey were AMAZING!@!!!

    by Tokidoki42 on 2014-07-15TD Echo Beach - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I Knew going into it that it was going to be a special concert. Right from the get-go Oh Honey's set list was great and the band was cool. Barcelona showed how talented they are and took the time to meet there fans and sign autographs and take pictures. For this Barcelona fan it was a dream come true and a night I will never forget. Now the Fray, I knew how great they were and that they had amazing fans but I was still blown away by how great an experience it was to watch them live surrounded by all there fans.

What an incredible show. First time at TD Echo Beach and first time seeing The Fray. Great venue...nice and intimate. Getting to be right up close to the band without paying a fortune to a scalper was a treat. Not sure how I'd have loved it if it was raining and cold, but that's what beers are for I guess :-) (But at $15.00 for a large can, not sure that would work either). Not often are bands better live than on their albums, but these guys are tight. Nothing flashy, just straight ahead rock/pop that fans of the band expect. The sound was amazing...not sure why others who arrived earlier were sitting way back? By far, the best first 5 songs to open a concert I have ever heard, just in terms of selection and execution. Can't wait for the next one. My only complaint, other than the gouging for alcohol (although I understand to a degree why its necessary) is the trek to the washrooms. Way too far.

by Kubi on 2014-06-21Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This was hands down the best concert I have ever been to. From the opening acts, to the lighting. It was fantastic. A night I'll remember forever. And being front row made it even better!

  • Unforgettable!

by JaredD on 2014-06-19Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The Fray was so awesome!! So blown away and exceeded my expectations by far. Was a bit worried before the concert because Helios is my least favourite album but was so pleased they brought in all the other singles. The opening acts were great and now I'm a huge fan of Oh Honey and Barcelona , I ended up even getting the CD. If your thinking of going don't question it and just buy the ticket, you won't regret it. After this concert I've become an even bigger fan of the Fray not just because of there originality but how they are so thankful and appreciative of there fans. I recommend going by the stage because at first we were sitting in the back, but after I weaved my way to the front I enjoyed the concert so much more!

  • BEST CONCERT EVER!!!

by Anonymous on 2014-06-19Malkin Bowl - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Maybe I'm biased because they're my favourite band but they were absolutely amazing!! They cracked a few jokes in between songs and Isaac even came down from the stage and sang in the crowd! Apart from being engaging, they are spectacular live. I was standing in the first row, center, and I could hear everything. Near the beginning of the show, Isaac's mic was being difficult but then I could hear the crowd singing All At Once to them :) If you ever get to see them, make sure you ask for an encore!! I wish I could go back!! Barcelona and Oh Honey (their opening acts) were fabulous and they stayed behind after the show so we could meet them. Super nice, super talented people.

  • The Fray - Short & Sweet?

by ClaireBear2013 on 2013-11-11The Seneca Niagara Events Center at Seneca Niagara Casino - Niagara FallsRating: 4 out of 5

No opening act, which was fine, but figured they'd play for longer than 1.5 hours for the price of the tickets. Good show nonetheless.

  • Clarkson A Star

by Winger19 on 2012-08-14DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Kelly Clarkson rocked DTE! Wished I would have known she was the opening act. Her M and M song was awesome.

  • The Fray – Outstanding Talent!

by Anonimo on 2012-03-29The Opera House - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This show was fantastic! Unfortunately, the venue left much to be desired though, The Opera House is filthy. Would probably think twice b4 attending another concert at that venue if the lack of cleanliness is not addressed! Regardless, we did not let that interfere with enjoying The Fray live! They have outstanding talent. They actually sound better live than on a CD. Isaac truly has an angelic voice bringing so much emotion to the music. They were definitely very much in tune with their audience and even gave their fans the opportunity to meet them at a local pub after the show which we did! I definitely recommend seeing them in concert if you get the chance, you will not be disappointed!

  • The Fray never disappoints

This is probably one of the best bands I've seen live. This was by far their best show ever in Vancouver. Great energy, they sounded amazing, crowd interaction...we were on our feet from beginning to end. Can't wait for round four boys!!

  • Amazing!

by GroovyG on 2012-03-01Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Two-thirds into the show, they asked the audience to come up to the stage to have a closer experience. Great sound quality, very friendly to their Canadian fans, in-between songs, he added personal anecdotes. Walked down all the aisles while singing, even went up to the balcony, shaking fan's hands and giving them high-fives--such a friendly guy :)

  • Great!

Great concert with fantastic sound quality at the Orpheum. Perfect mixture of their hits like "I found you" and "How to save a life", getting the fans involved to sing along with their new songs. Very entertaining and engaging with the audience.

They sound exactly like they do on the cd! Isaac really made an effort to interact with the audience (he was running around the entire place!).
