The Free Label Tickets

About

The Free Label was formed in 2017 and is made up of six musicians from Toronto, Canada. The lead vocalist Josh Tsakas, guitarist Malik Mungo, keyboardist Cole Mendez, bassist Mathew Fantini, Drummer Jason Martin, and Synth Keyboardist Jacob Thompson. The band is known for their free-flowing approach to creating and performing music, where all members are simultaneously vocalists, multi-instrumentalists, producers, and Songwriters.

With a collective love of 80s disco, 90s RnB, The Free Label started playing house parties and dive bars, hence the name "your moms favorite party band", until their 2019 release of All Night, which took them to new heights touring internationally. This song reached 1.3 millions streams on Spotify.

In 2019, the band set out on a four-month artist residency with Celebrity Cruise Lines, performing for the first time their original music all around the globe. Unfortunately, 2020-2021 tours were cancelled because of Covid-19. In 2022, they played all over Canada and went again worldwide because of their continuing partnership with Virgin Voyages. The summer of 2023 saw them touring all around Europe and the UK with performances in the Netherlands, Luxembourg and England in front of 10,000 people. Opening up for Legendary Soul group, Incognito, and RnB/Jazz up and comer Mono Neon. The Free Label has taken the music world by storm with its unique and infecting sound and will continue touring in North America, Europe, and South Asia / Japan throughout 2023-2024. With their upcoming album ''Drug, Sex and Disco'' planned for 2024, the band is already booked for shows in Australia, Japan, USA and Canada.

The Free Label were alumni of Canada's Music Incubator and RBCx Music program. They have shared the stage with Canadian acts like Haviah Mighty, Lu Kala, and Snotty Nose Rez Kids. They performed at notable Canadian festival performances including Mariposa Folk Festival, Canadian Music Week, Wapiti Festival, and Calgary Stampede. They have sold out shows all over the country, from Toronto to Vancouver. Their single Boys Don't Sob is featured on prime-time radio all over Japan. The Band has worked with Grammy-nominated artists such as Braxton Cook, who has an extensive feature on their song Shine, and Aaron Parris, who has provided strings for their newest single, Real Love.

The Free Label's natural chemistry and captivating live show have made them an instant favorite with audiences across the globe. Whether it's your first or fiftieth time experiencing The Free Label, this band will make you move!

I’ve seen numerous Free Label shows and they never disappoint! Always energetic and entertaining, and manage to get everyone up and dancing every time! The April 4th show at the Axis was over the top to say the least adding some invited guests just heightened the experience even further. If you ever get the fortune of having The Free Label playing in your city, don’t hesitate and you must go see their show!
