The Mavericks Tickets

The seats I had were great. There are very few bad seats in this hall. This is a good sounding hall. Having seen several acts in this hall I did notice that the lead guitar was sometimes lost in the mix and the bass, especially when he played the stand up bass, got very undefined, almost as if he was fishing for the right notes. Maybe he was. Overall this band was fun night with a good selection of songs. Vocals were very good and the horns sounded great.

The Mavericks is one band that we will always see any time they're in the vicinity. They had the audience engaged from the very first song until they finished the encores. Bring them back any time!

I had always wanted to see the Maverick's live, as I had heard and read so much about their performances and I love Raul Malo's voice! Well, I am so glad we did. They are outstanding musicians and showmen. They were so much fun as they danced and played. Great horn section of talented musicians and Raul? His voice is magic that ties it all together. The McKinley James trio that opened for them were also very very good. I would definitely see The Maverick's again. It was a fun evening spent with a band that knows how to please.

Such fun to enjoy a band that is clearly having fun too! TexMexMeetsMiamiViaHavana with awesome rhythms, horn, keyboards, drums and lead singer Raul Malo’s soaring vocal range that reminds of Roy Orbison. The Mavericks are a one-of-a-kind band I hope to see again and again! Just great music.

So unfortunate. Great band.. but terrible sound mix. Left after 5 songs.. Bass and drums drowned out vocals … guitars and keyboard barely audible. For this class of band ? Surely they could take their sound more seriously

The Mavericks were fantastic. The sound was exactly as if you were listening to them in your private living room. They haven’t changed a bit. Show as amazing. Only one disappointment was that Los Lobos were unable to be there. But all and all fan freakin tastic A++++++ show with every penny

The Mavericks are phenomenal. Such a solid band and always evolving to keep it interesting, but not so much that original fans like me are disappointed. If you say you're a music fan, YOU MUST SEE THIS BAND!

Raul Malo and the Mavericks put on the best show you could ask for. Great band, accomplished musicians all.... And Malo's voice is better than ever. We danced the night away at the Queen E ! Great sound! Wish they would come more often.

The Mavericks always provide a great show. Never disappointed with the Mavericks. They know how to entertain & their music is fabulous. So much energy and feeling.

Awesome show from beginning to end. McKinley James was very good and Mavericks got the party going...great musicians and vocals. Loved it!

What a fabulous experience! I had heard from others that the band was great but prior to the concert I had only heard one song. I am so happy that I took the chance to see them live. From the first song to the last I was enthralled. I’d describe the music as a fusion of latin, country, rock, and swing, with the essence of Elvis and Roy Orbison thrown in. I loved the Spanish songs as well. Pure Genius! I loved how all the talented musicians were highlighted and so entertaining to watch. Each song seemed to play to the emotions of the crowd so that everyone was up and cheering all evening. My only regret is that we Canadians are too polite to get up from our seats and dance - until the last few songs when we lost control. I will definitely travel just to see them.

Sad to learn that Los Lobo didn’t open the event, but the Mavericks made up for it, all good!

Los Lobos didnt show up so they substituted Kelly Prescott lol. Crap performance. I dont speak or understand spanish so I wasnt interested in listening to spanish songs. One was enough. We paid to see and hear The Mavericks but Raul kept calling Kelly Prescott back to sing with him. We paid to hear Los Lobos and the Mavericks. We did not go to a Kelly Prescott concert. Raul was acting like a love sick teenager lol. We left very disappointed. We felt Eddie, Paul and the other band members were pushed aside and were not upfront and center like they should have been. They are great showmen and watching them is what makes the concerts worthwhile. Certainly wasnt worth the money.

We love watching Eddie, Paul and the band perform but we felt they were all ignored in this concert.

I was really looking forward to this concert. I think the band is great and like their music a lot. It was interesting to see the musicians live. And the younger guys—Percy on the accordion and the two trumpet players really add to it. BUT…..way too loud. Why does it have to be that loud? It’s too loud to hear the words properly, and the individual musicians. I’m not going to a concert again. I will listen on YouTube or Spotify or some other app.

Best live act working today. I’ve seen them many times and will go every chance I get. Burton Cummings Theatre great venue!!!!
