It's been a long time since the Offspring made their way back to Canada and the show was amazing. I hope they come back again soon......
Miss the long hair and rock attitude. Offspring once bounced all over the stage with PURE energy and edgy sound. Today they are older, not as cool and older ... i think i just said that. Overall the sound and stage was great. But i really wanted some of the old Offspring edge. Worth checking out.
The Offspring concert was great and I would definately go again. So happy that they got back together so I can go see them.
What an amazing concert. Offspring rocked and the crowd was amazing. Way way too many prebands though, it took forever to get through them; I'm glad we were late so we missed two of them. One preband is good!
I had a lot of fun at this concert. The first opening act were the Streetdogs and they rocked with their irish-punk style. Next was Shiny toy guns... wasn't feeling it until their 80's cover of Major Tom. Offspring kicked butt though, had a great time. My boyfriend didn't like when it slowed down and the lead singer did a piano solo (he said it wasn't like offspring to do something like that). In my opinion I loved it and thought it was a really good concert.
The whole show was amazing. They played all my favorite songs and their new album rocks. Pretty much loved the whole thing.
The Offspring played a medium sized venue at the Thunderbird arena. Not full to capacity but they put on a good sound regardless. Minimal interaction with the crowd, they played their music - mostly older material that gave them a big name in their heyday - and that was all. They sounded decent but overall it was average.
They played awsome. Offspring is a great tight band with lots of great songs. I am a big fan from way back. I have always wanted to see them and when they put tickets on sale I bought a couple right away. We were standing in the floor section. I personally thought they didn't play long enough. It seemed like maybe 1 hour of play time even with a oncore. I also thought the bands that were openning for them sucked badly.
The show opened up with a band we had never heard of called the Street Dogs. They are a band from Boston with a strong Irish/Celtic influence in their music. The kids and I loved their set and I bought one of their CD's right away. The meet and greet for autographs was a nice bonus. I would love to see them again with their own show. Shiny Toy Guns was a big disappointment and seemed nothing more than an average bar band. Finally, time for The Offspring! They are a band that I missed in Calgary about ten years ago and have always regretted not seeing. They had become my 12 year old son's fave band and we were so glad to be able to see them live. They performed beyond expectations and every song, new and old was a treat to see live. The only down side was a group of cement heads in front of us who chain smoked through the entire concert. Other than that, a great show and I can't wait to see The Offspring again!
The Offspring had a simple bad ass rock and roll show! It was loud and unforgettable!! Would recommend any hard rock fan to check them out!
The opening act was great, they were a group I have never heard before but had a similar sound/feeling to the Offspring. Shiny Toy Guns was decent too but they sound too electronic and a bit screechy for a punk show. The Offspring put on an awesome show and my only complaint would be that I would have liked to hear more songs from them. My main complaint for the show is the fact that there were no alcohol sales when their could have been an over 19 section or wrist band to control the age limit.
The show was great! they played in a small venue, even though they could easily sell out a large one. every seat had a really good view. they played every song i wanted to hear. by far exceeded my expectations! would recommend seeing this group live to everyone!
The show was unbelievable! One of the best I've seen. Performance-wise and stage presence was very strong! Come back soon!
Unforgettably outstanding performance! The Offspring rocked the Saddledome for 90 minutes, interacted with the crowd and, most of all, the group enjoyed playing for the crowd.
good better than i thought had fun my girlfriend liked it they were awesome musicians
I had a blast at Offspring consert, the guys know how to put on a show. The best part was he was playing the piano. That was great. I love it.
Lots of energy and good crowd! The coral was a good vernue because you could see from most seats.
I'd never seen Offspring before and they were great!
Offspring was great, bad timing for them, everyone was heading home from school...the stands were kinda bare, too bad.
Having only seen the Offsrping once about 12 years ago, I didn't know how they would sound now that the are, ahem, a little older. I was wrong to have doubted them.Dexter sounded phenomenal, especially considering how tough some of their songs are to sing. The acoustics were great too. It was a good vibe in the building, despite it not being full. Seemed like they were having fun on stage. There wasn't a lot of stuff going on other than the band, but that was fine - they sounded so good that you didn't need the distraction. They played a nice mix of old and new and played all the songs I hoped they would. All in all, a wicked concert.
