About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

  • Great show!

by Lcole on 2009-07-15Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

The opening bands were good and the Offspring were great to hear live. My only complaint was that it should have been at a bigger venue. It was so loud in the Corral! Wished I would have brought ear plugs - couldn't hear properly until the next day!

  • Couldn't have been better!

by Spins on 2009-07-15Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

These guys have been around for years and they're still amazing!!! Never seen such a diverse crowd... everything from kakhi pants and collared shirts to green mohawks and pierced noses. They played a perfect mix of old and new, I can't imagine there was a fan in the crowd who was dissapointed. I'm a huge fan of these guys, hope I get the chance to see them again soon!

  • Still rocking!

As someone who graduated in 1999, The Offspring had a profound affect on my formative years. If it weren't for Smash, I may never have been able to deal with all those raging teenage emotions. ;) Its always a concern when seeing a band from that era that they'll skip over all the old stuff and play only the new. That wasn't the case with Offspring. They played an excellent mix of old and new, including most of my favourites. Of course they played 'Pretty Fly' as well which was what many others in the crowd wanted to hear. All in all they still managed to rock me so many years later, and I highly recommend you go so they can do the same for you.

  • Could have used video!

by gingerkid on 2009-07-15Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

Offspring itself was great, but the show production was less than spectacular. (Video screens would have been useful!!) A bigger venue would have been nicer, but overall, it wasn't a bad show.

  • Offspring was one of the best!

by Ambi on 2009-07-15Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

The Offspring concert was one of the best concerts I have seen. The intimate smaller venue was perfect. They played every song I was hoping to hear. I would see them again in a second! The opening band was really great as well!

  • The Offspring was a blast!

    by Kaylawebb1 on 2009-07-15Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was so much fun. The Offspring is an amazing band. They are great entertainers. I would go to see them over and over again.

  • Offspring rocked the joint

by cmack on 2009-07-15Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

For a smaller venue the concert rocked. Loud, lots of energy although Offspring wasnt on to long it was great.

  • Offspring hasn't changed a bit!

by meow on 2009-07-15Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

The Concert was pretty good. Didn't like either of the opening acts though, well the band with the female lead singer was ok she was funny to watch. Didn't like that there was a line up in the rain that went all the way down the side of the building from 6-8. I know i'm going to sound old but i didn't enjoy breathing in all the smoke all around me. I'm an athlete and it sucks that my performance has to be compromised if i want to see a good show

  • Nah it was alright

by Laineytron on 2009-07-15Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

The opening act was the reason I went to the offspring show. Not a huge fan of mosh pit, therefore I could enjoy the music

  • Flawless

    by MusicFreak123 on 2009-07-15UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The sound was great, the venue was clean, and most importantly-- the Offspring rocked. What more could you ask for?

  • Well worth the price of admission

    by Rockman76 on 2009-07-15Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

3 bands for $45. Beat that price. As for the Offspring? Excellent - the year's of working and performing together show. Great selection of songs, superb light show, high energy. Really good crowd interaction by the band. Can't wait to see them again. Do need to wear ear plugs now... age is catching up.

offspring good mix of old and new, best cheese tunes anywhere,

  • More like 500 stars!!!!!!!

by Hestad on 2009-07-14Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Ive seen alot of great concerts, (Maiden Metallica among many others) and offsring was as good or better than any of them. I would see them again in a heart beat

  • My favourite band

by Pepe on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I love the offspring but was bummed about being stuck in the stands. When I heard on the fox the tickets were only $20, I jumped on it but never researched the other options. The music was great but an outdoor concert would have been better (I love the Thunderbird Stadium for concerts) or even if I had been on the floor.

  • It was warm, not hot

by Digitalrocker on 2009-07-14Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

I found the gig pretty good, they played all the big tunes, but I believe it wasn't super hot like I wanted or expected. It almost felt like they are Kiss: so old they kinda need to take a breather every once in a while, like they weren't full throttle all through the concert.
