The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged.

the show was awesome. everything was great except floor tickets were unavailable at the opening of the online public sale.
The actual offspring performance started like 2 hours after the start time and openings were very disappointing in many ways (shiny toy guns aren't good at live3, i thought) but the offspring performance was awesome, it's worth waiting for. i even enjoyed though intermission.
Who knew what the Offspring would be like. I didn't. I sure found out though. They put on a captivating show that had the whole Corral singing along to their entire playlist. From rocking to their new singles (and a few that are not played on the radio) to the banter with the crowd (Dexter before going into a piano solo of 'Gone Away'), the Offspring made it a concert not to be forgotten.
I'll admit I was pleasantly surprised... for some older white dudes they sure know how to rock. As a product of the 90's it was really awesome to hear all their old stuff that defined my high school years. They played all the favorites and then some and sounded great doing it. The crowd was really diverse but everyone was into it. A nice change from the Vancouver concert scene. I was sitting beside a twelve year old girl and her dad and they were singing along like everyone else. The only thing that was a bit of a bummer was the lack of booze but hey that's what the parking lot is for...
Great concert. Small venue, good sound, THE Offispring sounded just like on the recordings. The opening band knew how to do their job and get the crowd ready to rock and the lead singer knows how to work the crowd. I didn't care for the unaccompanied version of Gone Away, but that is just personal preference. This was for my daughter's birthday and she loved it. I would definitely recommend both THE Offspring and also Thunderbird Arena as a venue.
seen the offspring everytime they ve been to calgary and there always amazing, dexter noodles and greg =rock the show everytime!!!
I'm very sad to say but I think this was my worst show ever. The sound was really bad I guess that is not Offspring fault. As for Offspring they were lacking showmanship one song maybe 2 then a break! What is that? I love their songs and will keep buying their CDs but will never suggest to anyone to go see them live.
I have seen them once before - vans warped tour... The opening band was good, too! Only complaint - way too smokey... ya I get it, concerts are "supposed" to be like that... but yuck, I was sick for like 3 days after and had to take some time off work - it was because of the concert and the cold that settled in at that time - a combo if you will.. I am glad I took my brother to his first concert, that felt great! We are both big fans and love The Offspring. Please please please - fox radio - stop with the pot pushing, its not cool and so 5 years ago anyways...
Awesome show puts on a outragous show every time everone should check them out least once.
I had been waiting a long time for them to come to Calgary. They did not disappoint. A lot of great tunes and Dexter can still sing! The only thing that could have improved the concert is a little more chatting and interacting w/the audience.
it was a good show. Blasted out the hits. Not Spectacular..But Good.
FANTASTIC is the only word, been waiting to see them my entire music life. great variety of songs ( could have play some others) but thats personal preference. Down right outstanding show
What's to say?? Street Dogs opened the show with a flurry and The Offspring delivered the KO punch!! Would I see them again? Without hesitation!!!!! Hell Yeah!!!
I went to the Offspring show only knowing their latest album, but the whole show was beyond my expectations. Even though I didn't know many of the songs, I found I recognized many of them from the radio, and the ones I didn't know were still awesome.
I am always sceptical about bands doing tours so late in their band life, but I was blown away at how good they still perform and sound. They also performed every song from my youth that I went to hear..... It was great
Man was I glad that the Offspring finally came on... what an awesome show! The two opening bands I could have done without but it sure made the wait worth it starting with Bad Attitude! We stood the whole show with everyone else belting out the new songs and many of the old songs. They even did the intermission song and had a crew member dancing onstage getting the crowd into it. Great way to spend a night. I was blown away that they didn't play Self Esteem until the second encore song to finish the night off. I knew they couldn't not play that song!!! I would go again, and you should too!!!
The Offspring are a band that I have always refused to miss when coming through town. This show was good but by no means would stand up to any of the shows I have seen of theirs in the past, I don't know if I felt old, or they felt old... something was old and worn down. Maybe an off day? I hope so and it won't stop me from going the next time they come into town.
We caught The Offspring on their latest tour, "Stuff" is "Messed" Up. This is the second time I've seen them live and they do not disappoint. The stage show was decent enough, they don't rely on lights or excessive pyro to capture the crowd. The performance was solid from top to bottom in their set. They incorporated a piano into the live show this time around. When I saw them last time, they "suffered" a power outage which lead to an accoustic set, quite entertaining to say the least. During this tour Dexter performs "Gone Away" on the piano solo. This was a really different spin on one of my favourite Offspring songs. I can say I enjoyed it. They managed to play pretty much all their hits and standards which left the crowd pretty happy. They didn't play anything off of Ignition or their debut album, there's few songs I'd love to hear live from Ignition, but that's a minor concern at best. My only concern with the show was the selection of opening acts. I've been to a little over 400 shows, big and small. The one thing that remains constant is the energy level that the openers need to set and maintain for the headliners. I don't apply this to festival shows since you're going to see a broad range of acts. The Street Dogs were the openers, punk act, I saw about 3/4 of their set. The energy was good and they played to the crowd pretty well. This was definitely a positive contibution to the flow of the night. Shiny Toy Guns followed up and this is where things derailed. I'm not a fan and I'm certainly not becoming one based on their performance. It's not what I wanted to see, and the sentiment was echoed by some of the people I talked with during the break and post-show. While STG has an audience, I just don't think it was there that night. Personally, I felt it made The Offspring work a little harder to regain the crowd. My friends commented that there was a certain lack of energy from The Offspring's performance, I suggested what I saw, and they agreed that the imbalance in opening acts might very well have contributed to the slow start. All in all, I enjoyed the show, I didn't care much for STG, but I came to see The Offspring and I was not disapponted on that level.
I will admit I was not sure what to expect when i purchased these tickets. The offspring was one of the best concerts I have seen in Calgary. The energy level from beginning to end was amazing. I would go back to an offspring concert any time.
We were on the floor and this was probably one of the best concerts I have ever been to. The crowd was awesome, the band was awesome...it was all SO great!!! Wootwoot!!!!
