Great show! All the band members were great!! The interaction with the audience was awesome.
Great performance. Awesome tribute to Queen. All excellent musicians and great interaction with crowd.
This Queen cover band consisted of talented musicians and singers, however it didn't warrant the price charged for admission. Like I said, they were merely a cover band. They had no overhead, just their instruments and a coat of arms displayed on a screen. They were a band that sang some Queen songs. They did not make any attempt to look or dress like Queen band members. We could have watched them in any bar and enjoyed them.
The show was really good. Mark Martel, the former lead singer sounded more like Freddie Mercury however this lead singer is perhaps a better showman. The setlist was excellent playing more music than Queen did when they toured. I would definitely see the show again.
I haven't been to FirstOntario Hall for quite some time and I will for sure be returning. All seats are great and it is a nice size hall. As far as the Event - they were fabulous! Enjoyed by the whole audience and we got our money's worth considering the number of songs they performed. I would have liked the drummer to be showcased a little more, he had a great rocker voice.
Just an all out awesome show. Music was great and performed so well! A very enjoyable evening.
The played all of Queen's hits. The lead singer was good - his Spanish accent through us off a bit when he talked - but when he sang he was fine. The drummer was incredible.
This was such a great show! it started well and kept getting better. They went through most hits, they did a fantastic job, the whole band was amazing, and they were good at engaging the audience as well. I'd go back to see them anytime.
The only thing to improve the show would be more interaction of the lead singer with the band and with the Audience. Talk a little about the show, the songs.
GOOD SHOW, STARTS OFF SLOW AND PICKS UP AS TIME GOES ON
Been to many shows/concerts and was excited and looking forward to this show as well. The sound system in this venue was not good at all. Specifically the base, way to high for this venue. We heard only one Queen song we were familiar with in the first set. We left after that. Watched the lead singer Marc Martel on Youtube in clips and I don't know if this was even him singing that evening. He didn't even sound like Freddie Mercury...we actually thought this was an opening band.... Never left a show before half way thru...hope to never have to again after paying good money for tickets to see it!.....very disappointing!
I really enjoyed the show especially my favorite songs which the band sang towards the end.
An energetic performance by a talented and diverse group.
The band was good - the lead singer was flat most of the time. The drummer was an excellent singer. The staff at The Danforth Music Hall didn’t want anyone on their feet dancing - and were rude about it !
Better than expected, high energy, enthusiastic crowd
Sound was terrible, there was echoing everywhere. They blasted the sound so loud at times you couldn’t even hear them sing. The lead singer didn’t even sound close to Freddie Mercury.
Of course you can never replace Freddy, but after the first song which I personally struggled with as was contrasting, the show just took off. Some very talented musicians, and the two singers (the drummer sang some songs too) both had incredible range. Not Freddy, but still very very good and great fun. Go if it's in your area, you won't regret it.
I was not alone in thinking that the drummer was a much better vocalist than the lead signer...
I was expecting Marc Martel, which, I learned on-site, is not part of this show anymore so it was a huge disappointment for me. The Brazilian signer is not as great as Marc Martel used to be. He changed is clothing only once, had a "Les Canadian hockey club" hat and a Canadian flag on his t-shirt, which is not really want we like to see here in Quebec. Most of the crowd was sitting till at least 7/8 of the show where a little mosh pit formed with around 40 persons.
All the musicians are awesome, the Brazilian frontman invited this year is very good, I was impressed by his range and performance on stage... All the songs were flawless and the mood in the theater couldn't be better. For us, Queen fans, this projects is a way to reconnect with that sweet sensation of being in a concert with Queen legacy. The only negative thing I have the point out is that the volume of the music was insanely high. The theater is really small and it wasn't that crowded so I think it wasn't necessary. Was really painful. We put paper earbuds to stand it.
