Excellent Performances in a Phenomenal Show

by Blondie11 on 2020-03-14Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

This show is an absolute MUST for Simon & Garfunkel fans or those wanting to appreciate one of best songwriting duos of all time. The show was chronological from there humble beginnings to the massive reunification concert in Central Park. It included all your favourites and some of their lesser know gems. 10/10 5*

A night with Simon & Garfunkle

by J. p. on 2020-03-09Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Great show overall......maybe the different sequence of songs might have built up the audience a bit more ! Having a bar open on the 2nd level would have been appreciated.

    Enjoyable

by C. L. on 2020-03-05Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I enjoyed this concert. Their voices were incredible, the story of Simon and Garfunkel's history was interesting. I didn't recognize a lot of songs they sang in the first half, and also a couple in the second half. I wondered if I was too young, but googed their hits, and there were lots of very popular songs that they did not sing. I don't know why they chose the songs they performed, but I was a bit disappointed by their selection. They didn't sing Bridge over Troubled Water until called back for an encore. Interesting.

    Great Concert

by Feisty on 2020-03-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

We thoroughly enjoyed this concert. The performers did an excellent job. Most of all, the VOLUME level was suitable to the performance. In times past, we have walked out of performances at the Jubilee because of exorbitantly loud volume levels. Not this time!

Music was fantastic but lights were distracting

by Calgary fan on 2020-03-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The big moon lights did not make sense and I don't like flashing lights ever. I have epilepsy.

    Bored to tears

by Connoisseur of the Arts on 2020-03-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

It was a couple of guys singing and talking. It couldn't have been more boring. I left at intermission. Very disappointing experience.

    Good show

by Rod on 2020-03-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The venue was the perfect place for this type of show. The stage setup was simple yet very effective for this performance. The lighting was really well done, highlighting only what needed to be. The sound was a perfect mix between music and song with clear vocals and definitive instrument sounds. The story told was a good, but a quick rendition of the career of both Simon and Garfunkel. The performers were entertaining and quality story tellers. Their voices were clear and crisp, and the emotional side made the performance very realistic. Thank you to the performers and the venue for making this a great evening. I would see this show again. Thank you.

    Good show

by Rod on 2020-03-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

This was a good rendition showing the career of both Simon and Garfunkel. Although it was quick, the performers were good story tellers and good performers. The show was informative and very entertaining. I would see this show again as it was really well done and both music and song kept me involved.

by EdithK on 2020-03-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Loved every aspect of the show. Very authentic, it felt like I was on the real Simon and Garfunkel concert. The way singers looked, dressed and performed - perfect. Had a really good time and highly recommend to everyone.

    Fantastic!

by HJ on 2020-03-03Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

We thought the Simon and Garfunkel Story was outstanding! Their harmonizing and vocals were beautiful. We loved the body actions which were so much like Art and Paul. The life story was very interesting and I learned some facts that I didn't know. The back up band were truly amazing, too! Thank you for putting together a show that has left a wonderful memory!

    Cracking show

by Denzel on 2020-03-03Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

After seeing the Roy Orbison show I was a little sceptical but after 5 minutes I realised that this was a way better show and it did not relent. Two brilliant performers backed up by great musicians and we loved it. Well done to all involved in this great show.

    My revie

by Reza on 2020-03-03Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The performance was fantastic, harmony was perfect and was presented with an ease. The band were young yet amazingly talented. The presentation and story telling was accurate and garnished with a tasteful humour. This was much better than what I expected

The Next Best Thing to the Real Deal!

by Anne McLeod on 2020-03-03Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

All I can say is that this performance transported me to my youth and had me laughing, singing and sobbing. This duo nailed every harmony, every nuance and note! I was sitting far enough away for the physical illusion to be perfect. "Art"'s rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Water was ethereal. I would go to this again in heartbeat!

A real enjoyable evening...thank-you.

Great Show - Less-than-great ticket process

by Sharon on 2020-03-03Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Excellent show with talented artists providing comfortable, familiar tunes. Enjoyed the backdrop which, in itself, provided a story of the decades. Altogether it was entertaining and well worth the effort it required to get there. And that leads me to comment on the process - we arranged for actual tickets to be mailed to our address as we were having computer/printer issues at the time and thought that the $7. charge would eliminate any uncertainty with regard to printing an e-mailed version of our tickets. However, despite the 2-week notice, our tickets did not arrive until the week after the show. So on the day of the show we were dealing with a little stress and time to arrange for alternate mode of ticket delivery. Very relieved that it was all worthwhile!
