My husband & I had an exciting, fun, and memorable experience at the The Simon & Garfunkel concert at the Casino on Friday evening. The venue was great, with perfect seats. Free parking and entering the theatre was fast without line-ups. The show was informative, and the singers & band were outstanding. I would highly recommend this to everyone! We left humming, and downloaded their music to listen to as well.
Very interesting historically! Voices and band were exceptional 👍
Thoroughly enjoyed the concert. They even resemble the artists.
Vivid memories of my teenage years came back to my mind in an instant. The two singers were as great as the originals. I learned a lot about their history. So emotional. Thank you again.
Fabulous singers and band. Sound was amazing. We were so impressed with the show. We'd highly recommend. Well done!! The theatre at the Casino Lac Leamy was a great venue.
Hello, the show was good but the sound engineer definitely had some problems. The sound of the instruments was often louder than that of the voices.
The S&G Story tribute program was outstanding. While one could debate which songs were included and which not, that's just because S&G had so much wonderful music that choices are obviously difficult. I was very impressed with the enthusiastic response from the audience who were not only highly appreciative of the duo's music but also seemed to know the words to almost every one of the songs. While admittedly there were a couple of songs where the duo didn't quite have the harmony/pitch to perfectly capture the original, overall the presentation was superb and a great nostalgia trip. Highly recommended!
: El cóndor pasa, The Boxer, etc.). - ENGLISH : I knew before the show it was supposed to be a retrospective of the careers of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. However, I would have expected that the focus was less on the titles from their early career, several of them very little known or even not at all, and that we would hear some of their main titles much more popular and well-known (e.g. El cóndor pasa, The Boxer, etc.). The sound wasn't impeccable, with too much treble in many places and not enough bass. At least, the vocal harmonies was very good and the musicians in full control of their art. The show was certainly appreciated by the fans that already loves the career of Simon & Garfunkel but is undoubtedly much less interesting for most of the public.
Des chanteurs et des musiciens incroyables! Une merveilleuse soirée! Une ressemblance époustouflante avec Simon & Garfunkel, tant physiquement qu'au niveau de leur voix. Vraiment un très bon spectacle. J'y retournerais!
Loved the show. A really good “hommage” of the duo. Seating at the capitol theater was less than optimal though. Sound was good
I twisted the title because I learnt more about Art Garfunkel .I had seen Paul Simon approx 20 years ago at Massey Hall so the efforts of the entire crew to re create the sound and voices of the 'duo' was like ' WOW ' to say the least . I was on a double date and we all just felt the venue acoustics and seating at the Avalon was perfect . Perhaps Kathy's Song may have been the hilite if you look back on life and born about the time the lyrics were created . Rob
Did not expect that the singers actually sounds like them
One of the most boring stage shows ever created. It was advertised as having a "state of the art" light show and "immersive" videos, pictures, and projections. There was none of that. The lights weren't even up to the level of simple lighting in a grungy bar. The show was a severely truncated version of what was presented on Broadway. We had 90 minutes with no intermission. The show was supposed to be 2 hours and 15 minutes including a 20 minute intermission. I checked the song list of the original production. There were a dozen or so songs missing from this production. I actually fell asleep at one point. The actors had no energy and did not connect with the audience. I've seen better amateur theatre.
Wow what a show. I didn’t want it to end. The whole performance was amazing. I will definitely be seeing it again.
I have loved Simon and Garfunkel since I was a little girl . I also saw the real Simon and Garfunkel in New York .I couldn’t believe the harmony these two had . The band was also amazing!! I would definitely see them again . Way to go boys !!
My husband and I loved this show. Lots of memories from the past with great music. Would recommend this show to all generations, music was Great. All of the performers/singers/musicians were absolutely amazing!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this show - presentation, backdrops, everything was really well done - and of course, the singers - did a tremendous job, along with their band - all most entertaining - and for me - very nostalgic and emotional. Hope we see more of their stuff!
Really enjoyed the live music - it definitely gives you a better feel and experience than listening to the duo on their recordings. The band was also amazing and energizing. The duo playing Simon and Garfunkel were endearing and it often felt like a very real concert. Highly recommend.
