  • Much better than expected..........

by raunch on 2013-06-04The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Really great show from an underappreciated band. Superb set list with a terrific flow to the show. No frills..................just great music with an edge. I have a concert, on dvd, of the band playing in 1990 (Hugh Cornwall's last show)........this show was a lot better.

A great band at a great venue doing great tunes, playing some of the hits but mostly deep cuts. Woo!

  • Stranglers remarkable

It's been 31 years since I lost saw the Stranglers and I have to say that their performance now is just as bit entertaining. Great line up of songs, old and new and an overall very satisfying performance. The venue was well organized and the size meant you had a super view, no matter where you were. Definitely value for money and recommend going to see them. Well done lads!!

the Stranglers have always been one of the best bands to see live with a colourful and sometimes ott cult following which has not diminished with the passage of time. Their possible playlist is seemingly endless and if it doesn't get you going your already a gonner.

In the early 80"s, I saw THE STRANGLERS play the Toronto Concert Hall on their FELINE TOUR. That show was a disappointment, the band was in a bad mood and the set seemed too short. This past Fridays Danforth Music Hall show was A GREAT PERFORMANCE! The mood was incredible, the sound was clear, and they played for over two hours.

  • The stranglers delivered!

by Farnsborough on 2013-06-02The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

ThE Stranglers in toronto was excellent. They were loud and raunchy. They played all of the hits. Baz is a total stage dominance. Full value for their fans!

  • Stranglers

by taq3 on 2013-06-02The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was a really great time. Stranglers can still rock! Sound was a little muddy at first but got straightened out after the first few songs. We would definitely see a concert at Danforth Music Hall again.

  • Arrived late but the best was saved for last

by strungout4 on 2013-06-02The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The Stranglers seemed to get really going only towards the last 30 minutes of the set. Played many of my favourites. and it seeemed a few of the crowd's favourites as well. Cute reference to crack pipe using Rob Ford in Peaches i think... Strong but smooth Bring on the Nubiles. I liked the live Golden Brown which i don't think I heard back at the Diamond when i last saw The Stranglers i think it was 99?

  • Amazing!

They rocked the stage for two hours. Played a lot of their classics mixed in with new. Brought me back thirty years thoroughly enjoyed it. Great venue too!

  • Stranglers sans Hugh Cornwell

by yablowza on 2013-06-02The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Stranglers pulled off a tight professional performance without Hugh Cornwell and Jet Black. New songs retained Stranglers' dignity without attempting to following a modern music trends, like I have witnessed with many iconic bands, i.e The English Beat. Would like to give a five star review, however the two opening acts were giving far too much stage time for music that better suited video games about skateboarding. It was trite and begnial. When the Stranglers return I would love to hear tracks from The Men in Black lp.
