Rumors that Rock and Roll is a dead music genare are greatly exaggerated. . All the proof that you need to confirm that these rumors are simply not true is To see the Struts in concert. I have been to just over 100 concerts and the Struts truly are the only band that made me feel like I had just witnessed rock and roll greatness. The struts should be selling out stadiums as a concert headliner and trust me that it is just a matter of time before they are.
Exceptional show!! Such a high energy performance from the entire band as well as the opener Barns Courtney!
The Struts never disappoint. Always a phenomenal performance.
The Orpheum was an odd venue for a rock show but The Struts brought « arena rock » energy and put on a fantastic show. I’ve seen them before and the band can be counted on to sound amazing and have fantastic rapport with the audience. Everyone was on their feet for the whole show. Don’t miss a chance to see this band. Seeing them live will turn even a casual listener of their music into a full on fan.
I had not actually heard of the Struts until I found out that Barns Courtney was touring with them. Huge fan of his. Had to check them out and I love their stuff too! It was a fantastic combination of the huge rock sound and crazy chaos that is Barns Courtney’s style with the more polished glam rock of the Struts. We were dead centre in the eighth row. Great seats and even as a “seated” venue, it was amazing. No one was sitting after about one minute in and both bands gained new fans! If you have not experienced a live show by either band, you are missing out! Both performers get the audience involved in a big way and it left everyone wanting more at the end of the night.
This was my thirteen year old's first concert and he had an amazing time. Thank you to The Struts and also, Barns Courtney for an excellent night of music and entertainment.
So much excitement, overcome by the energy, covered in sweat, my voice horse, hearing gone, weak & starving - all the good things in life!! They rocked my world!! 2nd time seeing The Struts.. Looking forward to the next!!
An amazing band playing in an amazing venue. Sadly they didn't play the title song but if I had my way they would have been playing all night
Barns Courtney was the best performer I’ve ever seen this man is electric ! Struts were meh
The opener Barns Courtney was high energy and was only topped by Luke and the Struts!
Not much bad I can say about the band, venue, show, anything. They always give it 100%, and are amazing live. Sound was great, everything was clearly heard, and pretty well balanced. If I was being a picky critic (warning - I'm also a pro musician, so extra picky), I'd say the guitar was mixed too loud, and the kick was almost non-present. I'm a guitar player, so it's gotta be pretty overwhelmingly off for me to even mention this haha. The last thing would be the set list, or more yet - the ORDER. Was too much of a lull in the middle, and they never recovered. The acoustic part (although beautiful) killed them. They spent a lot of time trying to get the audience to sing (they didn't) and it brought the show energy WAY down. They followed with somewhat low energy songs, and didn't puck it up as they should have. This all said, WELL worth the money, and would most likely go again, if they were touring a new album. OH - should mention, they did a brand new song i'd never heard of, and it was AMAZING. Probably the best, most "mature"song I've heard from them. Can't wait for a new album, they never disappoint. That's my 2 cent review of a pretty great show!
One of the best concerts I’ve been to. I highly recommend going to see them if you have a chance.
AWSOME SHOW. THEY NEVER DISSAPOINT. Showmanship is second to none by this fab four!
The Struts were a great live act to catch. It was my first concert post-pandemic, and it was a great way to get back into live music. Luke Spiller and company know how to work the crowd and connect with the audience. The glam-rock-inspired jams also help.
Amazing entertainers! Will forsure go again when they're in town!
An amazing band on top of its game, one of the best shows ever, think Queen at the very height of its glory days and then some, God Bless these lads for saving rock-and-roll!
The struts are an amazing band with a great collection of amazing tunes. They are slick polished and professional. They are able to do a live show and sound exactly like their studio.Recordings, and to me.That is a testament of some serious talent. I drove from Ottawa to Toronto to see their show and I was not disappointed.I would go see them again in a heartbeat. Barnes was very good as well !! The venue was awesome and I feel lucky to have seen their act in a smaller more intimate venue. Even though they dream for the arena and stadium shows and I am sure they will achieve that...for the fan the smaller venues are great.
These guys are nothing but pure energy! Best concert hands down in a long time. They opened for Queens of the Stone Age but were equally amazing!!!! The lead singer even took the time for photos with my kid. Can’t wait to see them again!
I went to the concert to see the "opening at", The Struts, not the main act. I actually left shorly after the main act started. The Strusts did not disappoint the crowd. I just wish it would have been a weekend or later in the evening, as more people whould have been there to enjoy them as well. TY to the guys for all they do, truly are talented individuals and a tight group. Love their sound.
