I attended The Tenors: Under One Sky concert in Winnipeg on Sept. 18th. It was a great concert. I enjoyed the second half better than the first half. One point I would like to make is that there was perhaps too much dialog on family issues which time could have been used for more singing. The technician operating the spot lights seemed to have a problem tracking and illuminating the singers.
My 3rd time attending their concerts in Winnipeg - and I will go again!! I absolutely love their music and performance. They are ALL very talented and down to earth!
Not being a Tenor fan, I found the two short singers amazing, the two taller ones, eh, fair. The Lighting guys were HORRIBLE! Many times singers were singing with no spotlight on them, and twice the lights of the arena came on. Brutal.
Four talented musicians with some of the most amazing voices you have heard. From the great music to the personal moments that helped me to get to know them a little better as people, I really couldn't have asked for anything more and can't wait to see them again.
They need to get back to just singing. They have beautiful voices. Wasn't enough singing.
My 92 year old Mother and I had the greatest experience ever. Front row seats - an emotional evening for both of us as we shared the love in the songs of these talented young men as well as the love of the audience members. Truly a dream come true for both of us. Thanks to Fraser for taking a few moments after the show to meet my Mom and sing a little Dutch tune with her. Something she will always treasure and never forget. How thoughtful of him to take this time to share.
As much as I love the Tenors ... I found the doing and redoing difficult. I didn't come for the comedian. The lights were blazing. My friend had to put sunglasses on to ward off the light in her face. I am sure it will look great on TV but .....
The performance we attended involved taping a PBS special. Whenever it was announced that a song would have to be redone because of some minor flaw everybody cheered - because it meant we would hear it again. We stayed from the beginning about 8:30 pm till the very end at midnight and enjoyed every minute of it. The fans in attendance were very loyal giving the tenors a number of standing ovations during the course of the evening. We were glad that we had seats fairly close to the front because for this performance the large screens on either side of the stage were not used. The cameras wanted to catch everyone looking at the tenors and not at a screen! I felt a bit sorry for the people at the very top in the distant seats.
I had never listened to their music til I bought the tickets. I borrowed my sisters cd & listened to it a little. when I got to the show, I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed the show. I would highly recommend anyone to go & see The Tenors at least once. I especially loved Victor's voice. I would like to go & see them again
The 'performance' was really dis-organized, even for a taping - thus far too long. The volume was damagingly high - I fashioned and used ear-plugs for most of the pieces. I couldn't hear the children's or community choir - nor could anyone else I have spoken with. Since it never made it as a 'performance', as a taping the children should have been on before their bed-time. Tenors don't do falsetto well unless they work at perfecting the change in voice - that night it was invariably weak. I look forward to seeing the PBS program - I want to see what wonders editors can do!
Tenors were awesome! C. Campbell ( violinist) was amazing. Orchestra and band were excellent.
Best show yet and I have been to several. They just keep getting better and better.
Amazing. I will never attend a taped show again. There is too many distractions, delays, etc. and this takes away from the performance. Also too much time spent on their families. They are an amazing talent and proud they represent Canada.
Beautiful voices and a varied program-excellent evening!
This was one of the best concerts that I have been to!! The music was amazing, The Tenors were interaactive with the audience and sang my favourite songs "Hallelujah " and "Oh Holy Night". I would defiantly see them again
Wonderful! Beautiful music to the ears! Absolute enjoyment!
Great show, enjoyed the special guests. Loved the proposal on stage.
Great performance and wonderful seats. best way to start off Christmas.
My husband and I have never missed a Tenors concert at the Coliseum since they started here!!! We love the Tenors...however...we found their show this year was not on par with any of their previous ones. Although, it was "cute" to see the Third Generation Lahey's", this was not what we came to see. It also distracted from the momentum of the show. We missed the amount of music that the Tenors normally sing and the question and answer period also seemed to fall flat. We know that one of the Tenors performed while suffering from the flu and we soooo appreciate his stamina so as not to disappoint his fans. Valiant effort!!!! We also know it is good to try other ways of presenting their talent but this choice just seemed to leave people slightly disappointed as we learned from others regular concert goers after the performance. However, we are dedicated fans and will continue to attend all events Tenor!!!!
