  • Tenors make Canada proud!

by 3sonsandadad on 2010-12-06Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Attended Thursday evening performance. Their first song was downed out by the drums. The whole first set they sounded like they were singing into cans and the feed back was crazy. The second set the sound person got it right and they were 'amazing'. I hope that the Friday night performance started off better. Canadians should be very proud! Thank you David Foster!

  • The Canadian Tenors' voices touched me to the core

by LovesOpera on 2010-12-06Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Although there were some sound and technical challenges throughout the show The Tenors grew stronger and stronger as the show progressed. For this reason (technical and sound difficulties) alone I did not rate the show as amazing. This is my second time attending a live Canadian Tenor performance and both times I was amazed at how they made me feel very comfortable and part of the performance; almost as if they were in my own home. Now I am not sure whether this is because I sat in the center and close to the stage both times or not. I'm quite certain that it was mainly due to the Tenors' ability to open themselves up and let their own personality emerge; thus making it feel as if they were individuals that I have met and chatted with many times before. The fact that the Tenors actually came out into the foyer/lobby of the Sony Centre to meet us and have a signing and photo opportunity after the show was not only rare for performers to do but once again added to them coming across as being real people. I really liked being introduced to Stephan Moccio the person and being able to put a face to the amazing pieces of work he has created. Pablo and the Due Voce were also wonderful guests to have share the stage with the Tenors. Overall, thank you to the Canadian Tenors for sharing their amazing gift with me and allowing me the opportunity to be enlightened by their beautiful and amzing voices. But most importantly making me feel like I really was an important part of their lives and not just for financial reasons. Bravo!

  • Well done performance

This was a great xmas show. The only draw back was it start about 15 minutes late. I hate that! I enjoyed the music and the guest artust, especially Due Voci. I found the Canadian Tenors made you relax and they all had great voices performing together or as a solo artist. Their choice of music was excellent. I really enjoyed their versions of Oh Holy night and Silent Night. The was just the right amount of humour during the concert and we learned a little about each of thee Canadian Tenors. I havw seen the Irish Tenors and Il Divo's christmas shows and this was just as good. Thanks for a great show.

  • UNBELIEVABLE

by Palozzi on 2010-12-06Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Performance on December 3rd. 2010 was amazing. They all have incredible voices. I really liked when they all sang individually and told the audience something personal about themselves and how they got started in music. I actually saw them the week before at Dixon Hall in Downtown toronto and they were fanastic just beautiful to listen to them. After the performance at the Sony Centre on December 3rd they all came out to sign autographs which made the evening a little more personal and up close with all of them. Would see them again in a heart beat.

  • Canadian Tenors - a wonderful performance!

by Flannel on 2010-12-06Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

This is the first time I have seen them live. The performance was very enjoyable, lovely selection of songs with a nice format of introducing the group together and highlighting each individual performer. My only comment is that at times, I could not clearly hear the upper register voice (when singing alone) due to the loudness of the musical performers. Perhaps it was just my seat selection but it was frustrating not to be able to hear the lyrics. I would without hesitation buy tickets to see them again!

  • Canadian Tenors - Music Too Loud!

by RosieM on 2010-12-06Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

As expected, the Canadian Tenors were fabulous; however, the sound level from their orchestra(?) - in particular the percussions/bongos were TOO LOUD - we can barely hear their voices (hate it whenever that happens).... we're there to hear them sing (tone down the music, please!!!)

  • Canadian Tenors amazing voices

These men are fabulous. My only complaint was that in the first half the piano and drums were too loud and drowned out the voices. Perhaps someone picked up on it as many people in my area were saying the same thing and the second half was much better.

The concert was amazing and the way The Canadian Tenors spoke of their personal lives touched us all. The song....The Perfect Gift... moved me beyond words as we have all suffered loss in our lives. This song was so moving and they sang it from their hearts. Thank you to The Canadian Tenors for giving the gift of "HOPE" to others especially this time of the year. One year ago our friend lost her little baby to cancer at Sick Kids the day of the concert was the 1st anniversary. The Canadian Tenors are so blessed to have their gifts and to share them around the world.

Got their Christmas CD and went to the concert on the same day. A truly great concert from a group of entertainers that still remember where they came from. The whole show as fabulous.
