Danny Grieves and the band sounded fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the show.
What an amazing night. I went expecting a 90s nostalgia trip and it was that and so much more. These guys are incredible live and made for a hell of a night.
I've seen The Watchmen many times, but this one seemed special. The vibe in the venue was amazing and it was full of true fans, evident by nearly everyone singing along to every song. The band played some older songs which was refreshing and everyone could feel the love.
The Watchmen were amazing! They still know how to put on a great show...
Great show - the crowd was crazy and performance was what I've come to expect seeing these guys live a number of times over the years
Loved the show! The energy in the place was electric and the band was awesome! They played all the favourites and love the new one Trampoline. 2 encores! Wow! Tops my list of shows I've been to for a really long time.
The band was great, my only complaint is the speakers were turned up way too loud, the music quality suffered
The Watchmen delivered everything I wanted and expected. Great crowd, great venue. Best night out I've had in ages...
I have seen soo many concerts and can honestly say these guys really belt it out live. Would go again next week!
With The Watchmen, you really cannot go wrong! So when I found out years ago that they were not going to continue touring and making new music it was disheartening! Therefore I was thrilled when the announcement for this special show at the Horseshoe came out, and did not hesitate to get tickets ASAP! I was certainly not disappointed, as they played all of their greatest songs, and from a variety of albums!
The Watchmen hit the stage and played Silent Radar from top to bottom with some very cool "live" additions to some songs! After finishing the album, they dove into all of their other hits and favourites off of their other albums. The encore included a dedication to REM, one of Danny's favourite bands and they played DRIVER 8. Sadly after two more songs the show was over.
show was great and the venue was good because you could walk around, you weren't confined to a seat. It is also smaller so you can easily get close to the band if you like.
This was a great concert! Smaller venue with great energy!
The Watchmen were absolutely amazing! This was the fourth time I've seen them and would definitely go again. I wish they would reunite and put out a new album!
As always, The Watchmen put on a FANTASTIC show! The songs never get old. And I loved the new stuff. The only bad part is when it's over! Let's do that again! Great to see the original bass player back and playing with the band including Tizz. Danny's voice gets better every time I see them.
The Watchmen played some songs that I'd never heard them do before. There was a lot of laughter on stage, it looked like they were having a blast. The cover of The Who was awesome.
Any show I've ever seen at The Horseshoe has always been fantastic. The Horseshoe is Toronto's version of NYC's CBGB's. I hadn't seen the Watchmen since the 90s, had kind of forgotten about them really, and from he moment they stepped out on stage, I was quickly reminded just what to expect from them. They are the definition of true "alternative" music. The opening band had too much of a country sound to be paired with them though, and their lyrics were unrefined, juvenile almost. This show reminded me of why we liked The Watchmen so much back in the day.
These guys never disappoint!!! A phenomenal rock band with passionate lyrics. Great Show!
This is the third time I've seen The Watchmen live and the third time that I've experienced an amazing show. You often think that when a band that broke up so long ago gets back together that the energy will somehow be diminished - not so with these guys. It's like you're seeing them sometime in the mid nineties. The energy is fantastic and the crowd is absolutely insane.
I was at both Friday's and Saturday's show. Friday it seemed like a more polished show, and they played longer. I liked that they mixed up the set lists for the two nights and didn't play all the same songs. They looked like they were having fun and goofing around more on Saturday than they did Friday, but the overall experience Friday night was much better. They just looked like they wanted to get it over with Saturday night. The sound was terrible on Saturday night, too, and it just sounded like a bunch of noise. It was like the instruments were turned up full blast and Danny's mic was too low and distorted...like he had to compete with the sound of the bandmembers to be heard, and you could see him signalling to adjust his mic often. Overall, I am always happy to see the band perform, but the sound technician really should be fired.
