The YYComedy Festival Gala Tickets

Overall a C+. The Kids in the Hall were boring. Their "skits" were amateurish; long and with little comedic value. How did those guys ever have a long running sitcom? Canadian content rules must have saved them... Most of the stand-up acts were enjoyable; Brent Butt, Steve Patterson and Ophira Eisenberg were quite funny with some new material and interesting observations. Sean Cullen was abstract and very loud. He tried hard to be an "improv" song master, but Wayne Grady is far superior. I would not pay $$ to see Sean Cullen perform. I will continue to support YYComedy. I do hope that next year's Gala will upgrade the talent.

I have attended a number of Funny Fest type galas and have to say this was truly the best final show I have ever attended! SO SO SO funny! Talent was top-notch and so proud of our very funny local Calgary comedian. There could not have been any better way than to end the evening off with Brent Butt. Can't wait to sign up (for better seats beside one another) next year!!!

Maybe I've been spoiled by the awesomeness of past live comedy I've seen at the Jubilee... but this show disappointed. With the exception of Brent Butt (he was awesome!), Steve Patterson, and Kristeen Von Hagen, the show was at most mildly entertaining. The Kids in the Hall made various appearances between comic and introduced each act... they were SO disappointing! Sorry guys, but your heyday is over unless you can come up with something new. I used to be a huge fan in the 80's and 90's so I was pretty excited to find out you were part of the show. Sadly disappointed by your performance, though.

Had a great time. Especially enjoyed Steve Patterson and Brent Butt. Will attend next year for sure.

The line up of comedians was great! A couple of them really stood out and the MC was hilarious as well. Celine Dion's part was very entertaining!!!.Everything moved along nicely and was never dull. We enjoyed lots of laughs! I hope they continue to get bigger and better every year!! Mayor Nenshi was also in the audience which was a nice surprise!

Great line up, many many laughs. I look forward to going again next year.
