About

Theory of a Deadman is the first Canadian rock band to sign with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger’s 604 Records. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 2002, Theory of a Deadman has blazed their own path with multiple-platinum albums in Canada, and 2008’s Scars & Souvenirs became one of their bestselling albums worldwide when it reached No. 26 on the Billboard 200 chart. Known for their rock anthems and introspective ballads, Theory of a Deadman have found success in Canada and abroad with chart-topping singles like “Bad Girlfriend,” “Rx (Medicate),” “Lowlife” and “History of Violence” — all of them topping Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The Canadian rockers have toured worldwide with bands like Nickelback, Mötley Crüe, Bush, Shinedown and Skillet.

  • Theory Rocks My World!!!

    by Kimmie4485 on 2009-07-17Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I was one of the lucky girls who won the meet and greet from 97.7 Hits FM!!!!! Boy that's something I will never forget. Theory of a Deadman is definitely my favourite Canadian band and my 2nd fave band of all time (Bon Jovi is number 1)! I couldn't have been more pleased with the venue either. A truly memorable experience!

Great venue, outstanding band. The mics were a little low, but over all it was an Amazing show. These seem to really appreciate the fans coming to watch them.

  • Theory of a Deadman rocked!

by therock on 2009-07-17Miscellaneous Venues Guelph - GuelphRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great show! They sounded awesome and the crowd really loved them. Their opening band was great too. I had a great view and I would definately see them again!

  • THEORY WAS AWESOME!!!!

by KORV on 2009-07-17Miscellaneous Venues Guelph - GuelphRating: 4 out of 5

LOVED THEORY OF A DEADMAN THEY ROCKED AS ALWAYS.... AND IT'S GREAT IN A SMALLER VENUE. THE ONLY THING THAT I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THE ALL AGES! WOULD HAVE HAD A MUCH BETTER TIME WITHOUT ALL THE KIDS AND THEIR PARENTS.

  • Theory put a great show!

by Tootsee on 2009-07-17Miscellaneous Venues Guelph - GuelphRating: 4 out of 5

Overall the show was great and I really liked the venue! I would definitely go and see another band there - the only thing that I didn't like was that it was an all ages show, the venue is too small for this. When you have a concert at a "bar" then it should be for those that are old enough to go to the bar. It totally limited the area of those that were old enough to drink - thus putting the youngins front row and centre. We all paid the same price so why were we stuck at the back? I enjoyed the band, the music and the atmosphere ! Thanks for a great show!

  • Great Band but POOR sound quality!

by RockinInCBridge on 2009-07-17Miscellaneous Venues Guelph - GuelphRating: 1 out of 5

I have seen Theory at other venues and they are a very tight band usually. The sound was extremely poor - they should have stopped the show or done a better sound check. They had no apologies to their fans, that came from near and far and something should have been done about it. I don't know if the venue supplied the sound people or the band/label supplies the sound people, but that person should be replaced.

  • Theory of a Deadman was AWESOME!!!

by Neska on 2009-07-17Miscellaneous Venues Guelph - GuelphRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen these guys 5 times...small and large venues...from their first tour with 3 Doors Down (in which they outplayed and out rocked the headliners) to this Amazing show with maybe 500 attendees. Absolutely the best show I have seen them play yet!!! The venue was packed and Tyler was so personal!!!! I hope Theory of a Deadman comes back again and again!!! I go to a lot of shows....but these guys by far, out do themselves every single time!!!! Till next time TOADM!!!

  • theory of a deadman was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~

by nibbyj on 2009-07-17Miscellaneous Venues Guelph - GuelphRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was in a small venue, which you can only cram so many people. The guys sounded amazing, and sang majority of their hit songs. it was like one big sing along!!! love it all!!

  • Loved Theory of a Deadman!!!

by cbergen on 2009-07-17Miscellaneous Venues Guelph - GuelphRating: 4 out of 5

I love this band and they didn't let me down. They sounded amazing, I loved the small venue, and loved the way they ended the show. It was HOT!!!!

They put on a great show. Exceeded my expectations. Parlor Mob was awesome though. They were the reason I was there.

  • T.O.A.D.

by mrskarendoc on 2009-07-16Miscellaneous Venues Guelph - GuelphRating: 5 out of 5

I was introduced to these guys by my teenage kids and enjoyed what I heard but seeing them perform live was AWESOME!! What a terrific show they put on. They sound as great live as they do on their recordings. It was good to see them interact with the audience, they were funny and very easy on the eye .....!! I am now a devout fan and will certainly see them next chance I get (with or without my kids) heh heh!! Definitely worth the drive from Ottawa to Guelph!

  • Theory of a Deadman rocked Guelph!

    by vixen775 on 2009-07-16Miscellaneous Venues Guelph - GuelphRating: 4 out of 5

Theory of a Deadman rocked Guelph! I have seen them play 2 other times at large venues and they did not disappoint then nor did they now for a little venue. I love that no matter how famous Theory of a Deadman are they are still humble enough to come to small venues so that they're fans can really enjoy them and their music!

  • DAmn Awesome concert!

  • Theory of a deadman Rocked!!!

by AngieD on 2009-07-16Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Theory of a Deadman were great. This is the second time I saw them in concert. The first was in March and they left a lasting impression and I just had to see them again. I love their sound and the way the band engages the crowd. I wish they didn't have to end the show as I could have watched them for a few more hours.

  • Greatest Concert

    by Marg3959 on 2009-07-16Miscellaneous Venues Guelph - GuelphRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was fantastic! The opening band, not so great, but Theory of a Deadman was AWESOME!!! I loved the small venue and how up close and personal it was. The acoustics could have been improved so that the audience could actually hear the words, but other than that, it was great!

  • Best Concert in a Long Time

by Cjunkie on 2009-07-16Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to many concerts over the years and Theory was the best by far. The venue was small and allowed everyone to be close to the action and the cost of merchandise was not overpriced. I have been to see Theory 3 times and I liked this venue the best. As for the music -- the sound was great, the band was entertaining as usual and I had a really great time. Nothing beats being this close to the band at a concert!

  • Theory of a Deadman were "Awesome"

by Nifer on 2009-07-16Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

To say the least I brought my 2 daughters, my husband and 2 friends and we all loved them! I have 2 CD's in either of our cars so we wouldn't have to travel without them. They were charming and rough with a smooth sound that was just perfect. Would recommend them highly! The girls love their Bad, Bad Girlfriend shirts and alot of people have commented or inquired about them. The venue was great and I'll be sure to see them again when they're in town!

  • TOAD was AWESOME

by mizsue on 2009-07-16Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Theory of a Deadman was awesome! They performed just as well live as has been recorded. TOAD deserves much more recognition - keep it coming!!
