About

Lose yourself to the smooth tunes from the eclectic THIEVERY CORPORATION, making a highly anticipated return to Australia this coming February 2016 - their first in over 4 years with a FULL LIVE BAND.

THIEVERY CORPORATION duo, Eric Hilton and Rob Garza, have spent two decades creating boundary warping, complexly crafted electronic music blending an eclectic array of influences from Afro –beat, Indian, Jamaican Dub, Brazilian, New York tones with trip hop and acid jazz.

THIEVERY CORPORATION’S Bossa Nova inspired latest studio album, ‘Saudade’, once again sees the band changing direction, trading the fiery energy of their last two albums for a more wistful and summery mood.

The album once again demonstrates why the band is one of the most influential and respected names on the electronic and dance music scene.

‘Brilliant…a complex, sensual release pushing the boundaries in style – 4.5/5 stars’ - The Australian

The Australian shows will feature a FULL LIVE BAND, drawing material from THIEVERY CORPORATION’S stellar discography over the past two decades. Prepare to be mind blown by THIEVERY CORPORATION as they guide you through an energetic, ethereal, sultry, groovy, mysterious and hypnotic musical journey.

    Excellent show!

by Michael on 2019-10-20MTELUS - Montreal

Wow! Super happy I made it. It was a 2-hour drive (both ways) but absolutely worth it! I’ve been listening to TC for a few years, so I know they use various singing artists on their albums. I was blown away when I realized they had 4 singers on board - all excellent. The percussionist even did a good job singing a Talking Heads cover. If they come by your area, you must absolutely check them out!

What a Venue and Amazing Performance

    by AlexL27 on 2011-10-03Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

I was not sure what to expect of a concert outdoors, especially for this kind of sound, but the Malkin Bowl turned out to be a really cool venue and Thievery Corporation never disappoints.

    Poor Venue

by drte on 2011-09-15Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

I was at their last show through Vancouver at the Orpheum - now that's a venue! I hate the lack of concert intensity at outdoor events.

    very dissapointing

by bigjjj on 2011-09-15Theivery Corporation and guests(Malkin Bowl) - Vancouver

Started great. Most of the guest singers were horrible. Djs brought there A game. I left early and was not the only one. The light show was a little blinding.

    Thievery was great

by Anonymous on 2011-09-15Malkin Bowl - Vancouver

Loved the band and the venue. Didn't like the no alcohol part. Can't understand why all ages means no booze don't sell to minors like in a restaurant.

I have been introduced to Thievery Corp a few years back, and I just couldn't believe how good they are and that I haven't heard of them before. When I found out they were coming to town I almost fainted...I love their music, they are incredible! And the concert rocked, loved every second of it!!! One of my best concerts, and these guys are so good live! They played ALL my favourite songs and played lots of new ones from their new album - they ROCKED!!! Every singer has an amazing voice, loved them all. So happy I got to see them...

    LIVE?......somewhat....

by Vanilli on 2009-10-27Kool Haus - Toronto

If you can't accept a band that plays to a tape as a live act then "Thievery Corporation Live" will leave you upset .... The show was performed by live musicians playing over top of recorded beats and melodies while a series of vocalists sang along to prerecorded parts... This was, more or less, the same show they did at this venue back in February but the sound wasn't nearly as good this time around(bass was way distorted)...They got rid of the LED screens that were blocking the audience's view of the percussionists and the brass section and, it would seem, they got rid of their bass player in favour of a little punk rock guy... Loved the music they played... But the production was a little too prerecorded for my taste...
